This is also the current tag in the MA and Northern New England games.
Between engine trouble and a flat tire, I ran into a lot of trouble on this one, so was not able to move it as far as I would've liked. Anyway, a few bike lengths north of my bike in the tag shot you'll find a small section of the wall that has collapsed:
Egg is hiding here, in the collapsed section:
I helped him with a little more cover from the elements by piling another rock against the one he's hiding under:
and left a clue to make him a little easier to find:
Don't forget ...the winter winds could blow cold soon.
South ....My Precious wants the warmer climes
The line of white lights following the mountain top contour is Mt Wachusett Ski Resort. The top of the Fruitland's sign is just visible in the dead center of the shot. See below for mascot shot, it was too cold for full disclosure.

I should be able to get this moved tomorrow, at least as of right now I'm thinking of seperating the tags vs setting them all at the same place unless there is too much of an outcry:huh
Agreed Danny & it's 25F in Maryland this morning.
I'd hate to be the one known as
"That guy who got the North American tag stuck for the winter."
Separate them. Otherwise they'll just accrete into one big blob and you might find yourself the recipient of the ...
... award. (Hi, Mike! )
You guys don't quite understand...New Englanders ride year round. Granted there are days that we drink our spiked hot cocoa and watch the snow fall, but that is all just a plot to get back out there after the snow is done.
I have ridden at least on day every month since I got my bike April of last year. I expect to continue with this. Mr. Egg won't get snowbound. However, I do think it is time he went South or West for the winter. I just hope he comes back and visits some day.
What do you mean, stuck for the winter? We've got a solid month of prime riding season left this year, before the 2011 season starts with the annual NYD ride!
Nicely played, sir!
And no it is not shared with any other TOR's
Find tree with two yellow stipes and signage
Go over this wall, put your back to the tree and look down
When you look down with your back to the tree you see this and look in the center of the picture, yep behind the rock standing on its edge...
Mr Egg is grabbed and on the move. Details & pics shortly.
The Tag shot. Location is the home of Capt. Nathan Hale (1755-1776) in Coventry Ct. Capt Hale was a Revolutionary War hero, captured in NYC in Sept. 1776 and hanged by the Brits for spying. He is quoted, as he was about to be hanged, as saying, "My only regret is that I have but one life to give for my country".
The tree and wall. Great hiding spot DocGS.
Headed home, but first I left a nice "Bruced Trophy". I KNOW there are other crazy taggers in the area who would be looking for the coveted Mr Egg. No matter how cold and dark!!
I have been following NA ToR since the beginning (NO MASCOT!) and have always enjoyed the widely traveling tag. I was REALLY suprised to see Mr Egg show up less than 20 miles from home:eek1:eek1:eek1. No way I was going to miss this opportunity!!! I am almost certain that this is the first time the NA ToR has stopped in Ct. I am also almost certain that there is one more state in New England (or the entire North east for that matter) that Mr Egg has not visited. We will remedy that by Weds afternoon, and possibly sooner, if you don't mind another night-time tag.
But first Mr Egg wanted to warm up by the fire and then early to bed. No drinks tonight, he needs to be up early for work Mon. AM.
I did not leave my house until 10pm.
My internet server was down,so I could not check this.
Anyway, thanks for leaving the Bruce prize,I would have
looked for awhile after my 60 mile Highway blast at 26 degrees.
I figured it was you Doc.
Bruce trophy on top of sign.
Wow, I didn't know you followed this ToR, V8. It was a cold night to make that ride. Down into the 20s by late night:eek1:eek1 so I'm glad you didn't go home completely empty-handed.
I got the second place prize.
Hey, I moved the Nutmeg tag.
I was not following this TOR untill I saw Boatman
bring it North, and I knew it had to come back south
soon enough. Decided to go for it as I pulled out of the driveway.
It was a nice brisk ride.Have fun placing the egg HeyDoc!!Great Grab.
Today was supposed to be a day of rest for Mr Egg. No riding possible. But he was up early and insisted on going in to the office with me. "I won't get in the way, there are probably some things I can even help you with. I have become quite proficient with computers......." OK, OK, off to work at 7am. Well, he did not get in the way at all, in fact I hardly ever saw him all day long. But everytime I did, he was just hanging around with one or more of the staff.....I don't think very much work was accomplished, they were just talking and laughing. I think Mr Egg likes the women as much as he likes the booze.
It was nice to have him around, but I think he is getting anxious to be on the road again. He has mentioned maybe heading south for the winter. I told him I can help out by moving him one state south, and to a state he has never visited. He is all excited about this plan so we will probably ride Tues night instead of waiting until Weds. afternoon. Stay tuned for details.
My wife thinks I am out of my mind, but last night in a 40 degree rain was my only real chance to move Mr Egg. So off we went.
The Tag Shot. Find this sign on Rt 165, Exeter RI. Very close to I95 and points south.
The drop spot is just behind the small tree visible in this pic, to the right and about 20 yards beyond the entrance sign.
The Egg is nested right at the trunk of the tree, under some leaves and X marks the spot.
The "goodie bag" is really pretty packed but I was able to fit 1 more small motorcycle related item! It was great to host the NA Tor in Ct & RI and I hope it gets back up here again. Ride safe, supposed to be clear but cold weather, Thurs-Sun.
Haha...great job bouncing Mr. EGG around, riders!!!
(I love the 'bruce' trophy!!! Well played sir!!)
The rain and high winds forced me to change plans for the day. I used some of my unexpected free time to go through the NA ToR thread and compile a list of States and Provinces the tag has stopped in. Please feel free to add to the list if I missed any. I only list states 1 time each and only states it was posted in, not just passed through.
