What excited me most about the North American TOR is the possibility of the great ride distance. We put quite a few miles on this TAG over the years. It's the largest area TOR on the forum (AFAIK).

It is what keeps me here. The power of distance.

I'll let it sit as I always intended to. I know the rules. I just wanted to get a few bumps to the thread. :evil

Believe me, there are a couple of us watching it!!! It's just not worth the hassle to get a liberty card to go get it!

Due to the ice storm I rode through the day after I picked up my new Wing in Chattanooga, I am restricted to San Diego until spring!!! [IMG]

I think we all like the big area option of where to place him. Problem is all the bad weather this winter. I don't mind cold so much but I do not like riding 2 wheels on icy roads.

    Soon though, very soon.

THANKS Bill, It's the exact reason I rode Cosmo south in December. Remember the winter of 2010/2011 where Eggy was stuck in the snow through the winter, ungettable, unforgettable and regrettable.

I don't want to ever see our beloved mascot frozen to the ground for months ever again.

If stuck Cosmo must be, let him at least be warm and obtainable.

Yep, I even went to visit him while I was up there on a business trip in order to make sure he was still there....

OK, I am northbound out of central Florida on April 3rd.
Let's chat this up so we can get a move between my current drop in South Florida and a grab before traveling north.

I ain't gunna be flamed again fer breakin' da damn rules.
(Belize ain't North America, Indeed* ,,, sheesh! Folks can be mighty picky from a recliner)

I say make the grab and head north Digiamo , because all I hear is big-talk and no action. Wait and see seems to be wait and sleep. The sooner you give this new egg some credos and history the sooner the big-boys will play again (unless they are too old to saddle a bike now {just egging on
here}). If I am being provocative here I apologize not.
I would be honored to make the grab from you Digiamo with-in a 200 mile radius of Baltimore if you decide to bring the egg north.

    Thanks
    Chris

I understand completely the desire to do what is necessary to keep the game active but even I have to say it feels a little odd taking requests for drop locations close to FF's houses.
Interesting concept though, even given the fact that many of us here in ADVland pride ourselves on our riding through great distances and many obstacles of weather and road (and non-road) conditions. In many cases, for not much more reward than a meal with a friend. As such, I would be embarrassed to request a drop near me, except in cases where I need to grab Cosmo before a big trip.
This TOR has the widest range of any I know and it requires the participation of riders with wide ranges

I am reluctant to grab my own egg drop.
Given that, if I were traveling north with Cosmo, my nagging desire is to drop him really close to TH's house. A little proximity visit with Our Precious

I wouldnt worry about folks making request. Tis done all the time and mostly ignored. Or not. The guy with the egg is in charge.

Put that thing out is sling-shit nowhere under something interesting and make us go get it!!

I have to agree with Digiamo. Besides, the game always has a dull spot come the end of winter.
