Nice bike. Are you coming down to NC for Smokeout?
He will be. He got a dumb phone so i'm postin for him. More photos to follow
I feel like my child has been found by search and rescue in the woods

That bike has seen a lot more miles than the any of the NA mascots. I found this speedo in the garage the other night. I think it came off that bike in the winter of 88.
We looked at the photos and felt pretty confident that if we just dug down another couple of feet we would find it. (So I came up with a lame excuse about work and sent my little brother to do the digging) and look WE found it.
The get is all yours! Or Haystacks! I will save the new NA Duck mascot for another time and place!
Now, I can sleep late tomorrow! Whew!
Awesome! I feel so much better knowing Drago is safe again. Great job to both of you for visiting my beach. That place is very special to me and I'm glad I was able to share it with you both.
Was a beautiful place for a drop. Sorry I didn't do a better job of excavating! That beach must have been wonderful, early in the morning for surfing on the glassed out little waves of the East Coast. I have similar memories from the Azore beach in Long Beach, Long Island, NY.
What is next Haystack? Are you making hay or hitting the hay? What the Hay?
Call it a hunch, but I'm pretty sure Haystack is at Rockingham Speedway in NC right now enjoying Smokeout. Wish I was there too!
I suspect he'll be dropping it soon.
Haystack was indeed at the Smokeout, tag is set, he should be postin location in the morning. I can say I won't be getting this.
But here is a clue
Are you kids ready for a story?
Sit back, smell the motor oil, and I will tell you a little story.....
about a dragon!

I had to do a little digging. It seams like the construction crew dumped 2 layers of concrete rubble after the set was made.
After moving a lot of concrete and debris......the prize!
And there is our trusty litlle mascot!
And when I released him from the box, He said take me to the mountains!
It was late in the day, but we headed out! South and west. Thru the Pine Barren, across the Delaware, and then down below the Mason/Dixon line
The first nights accommodations were nice.
We crossed Virginia on some nice 2 lanes and rode a piece of the Blue Ridge Parkway right into North Cackalackey. The weather was good, so I was running up and down all sorts of nice roads. My bike was making a little raspy noise that I never heard before, but I couldn't pin point it and she was running strong so I pressed on to Maggie Valley. I arrived at Wheels Thru Time http://www.wheelsthroughtime.com/ after they were closed, but I didn't let a locked gate stop me. I got to spend a little time with the owner, Dale, who now has his own TV show http://www.velocity.com/tv-shows/whats-in-the-barn. He let me camp, down by the river........
Next morning, I went through the museum.
There was bikes....
...and more bike.....
Well, you get the idea. It's a very cool place with a gracious owner and host. If you like motorcycles you should visit!
But the dragon was ready to go! Further into the Mountains.
The weather was mixed, but it was a warm rain heading up.
Drago seemed to like the mountains.
We slipped into Tennessee
Passed a few former tags on the way to Deals Gap
The road was good

It was a good day!
I met a couple of biker chicks
Girl on the right was/is training for an Ironmanand the TW rider was her safety rider. She was also preping for the T.A.T.
Drago spotted something
We went up
Drago said leave me here. I agreed but decided he should be outside of the gate.

Bike has not moved
In the top left is a gate, with a old stone pillar in the edge of the woods.
Box is next to the footing.
Guarded by poison ivy and covered with leaves and sticks.
I left a sign, but it might not last
