I've got a secret (can't load the pics right now so that part will have to wait, but...) Mr. Egg has a new home. Couldn't let him languish so far from middle America so he got hauled too...

    <wait for it>...

    <nope, not yet>...

    Somewhre in KANSAS!

I'll post pics soon's I get a battery reload on my portable, no power cord and batteries are about to die.

Merkur Man, I'm (not right now but soon will be) in Kingman, AZ too.

I'll have a full album of Lane Motor Museum at picasaweb.google.com/cattmando (along with a lot of other photos, some even of Mr. Egg. :D)

Can't seem to get the "embed" to work but the fotos will pop up if ya click the links.

Egg is safely awaiting YOUR retrieval near Lebanon, Kansas at the "center of the contiguous 48 states" monument, left of the pyramid, behind the bench, front edge of the left-most bush. Pics as soon as I can load'em.

Carrying Mr. Egg to Belize from Moonshine, IL then from Nashville back to the center of the US has been a privilege. I hope he continues his varied journeys.

For the whiners out there, no complaints I hope about this location. If he doesn't move by the end of July, I'll come get him and carry him some place remote. Panama is still in North America ya know.:rofl

Do you know how to get there or would you like me to show you?

Plenty of interest from the folks south of the border.

    Okay, here's yur pics.

jMr. Egg is buried just in front of the left-most bush, behind the new bench just to the left of the pyramid. If ya go get him, please leave the area looking undisturbed. Folks work pretty hard to keep this place nice.

These folks were working, all volunteer, putting in bushes and new benches and a picnic table. They said there are many volunteers but they are the only ones under 80 years old!

If ya visit the chapel, please say a prayer for the Sinkuls, friends of mine who are undergoing some hard times right now.

Just enuff room for a preacher and six parishioners.

Hope youse guys have enjoyed watching this trip as much as we did riding it.

BTW, the pic of the guy holding the egg in Tecalutla, Mexico is Lightening Larry Johnson, of the famous Junior Johnson racing family. He's ex-pat down there, running an independent bike shop and hiding from the oil companies 'cause he has the answer to all our energy woes. :evil:rofl

Dang George, I ain't been through there since I was on my way back to Texas in 1995 from Alaska!!! Not sure that little chapel was there back then. I don't think I'm gonna run over there any time soon, but a heck of a run for the egg. Nice job, from outhouse in Moonshine to somewhere not really expected, by way of Mexico and Central America.

Fabulous egg drop, George. Great ride!:clap
It brings a tear to my eye that Mr. Egg now sits smack in the middle of the North American continent and the Good Ol' USA after his great Southern North American ride.

Of course it still is in the middle of nowhere ;):rofl:1drink

But someone will be there soon. Otherwise I'll take the ride even though I've been there before.:clap

I keep looking at my calendar to see if I can do Big Basin CA with the ST group and then go get the egg and get to Dawson City in time for D2D.

Long as the discussion continues I'll leave the egg alone. But I'll be back thru the area at least two more times this year. If it stagnates, I'll take it someplace remote. :rofl

Mac, glad to see you got over that egg-allergy you had at Moonshine.:D :D

Wonder if there is any way to add "in Kansas" to the thread title in order to get some more local participation.

If it there in early September, even I have a shot at it again.:deal

If it is still sitting in KS in a month someone let me know. I'll go get it. I would get it before that but I am booked every weekend. I have rides and then vacation.
