Next up, a big tank
Next up, a quaint little old railroad stop:
There is a cafe here but I have never tried it. Sign says 'under new management'. I think only open for breakfast & lunch..
This had to be the luckiest tag grab I've ever had! Usually, I'm pretty certain of where I'm going but this time, not so much. I found a water tank using Google maps on Hwy 52 as it comes down from Ft. Mtn., just outside of Chatsworth. But the street-view just didn't look right. Figured it was probably the right one anyway, just needed to get a better view. But sure enough, I get there and realize that it was not the tag! Dang.. So, figuring that it just had to be on the high ground/hillside somewhere near, I rode north on Holly Creek rd. (Old Federal) looking for it. After several miles, I turned around and went back to Chatsworth, got up on the bridge that crosses the RR tracks for a better view of the mountain side. Nothing.. So I headed south on Old Federal. Again, after a few miles I decided my best chance was to stop and check Google areal maps on my phone to see if I could spot another tank. About that time, I came up on Peoples Lake Rd. and a sign for an OHV area. I figured that would be a good place to pull off and check the map.. Stopped in a shady spot just a short distance up the road, pulled up Google maps on my phone, and looked at the areal view... What the f#*@?? Clear as can be, there was a tank almost right next to where I was sitting! Sure enough, rode around the next curve, not more than 100 ft. further up, and there it was! Tagged!!
You can go on thru the OHV trail to Tatum Lead & come out on 52 up on top of Ft Mtn
Old Federal Rd is a favorite ride for me and avoids boring US 411 but still takes you north/south through The Valley and along the mountainside.
Good riding MrMac, hope you enjoyed the nice and quiet backroads of West Georgia.

It’s just a couple of miles too far from you this time brother.
Just too easy..

If you've ever wanted a place with your own landing strip (somewhere behind the barn), this one is for sale! Can't see it from the road, but very visible on Google areal view.
Located in a county that shares the name with our 16th president, just north of that county seat, on a highway named for Ga's granite capitol!
Just made an edit to the above. Apparently the highway changes names as it passes north through the county seat.. Apologies.

Try this one on for size,.... tag this sign
More specifically, the sign for the campground
Yesterday was a windy day that made for interesting riding....coupled with cool temps the time in the sunshine was great but when the clouds moved in things cooled down.
Keeping the tag moving though.
I like your new sign
Looks like it may have been a tad to windy and cool for your video support team.
Lucky for her she was wrapped up in a warm car.....
