I rode this a month ago -- thank you for the route, it was a lot of fun. The "poor road" was a challenge since we had significant rain a few days prior. There was still water draining from the fields down through the ruts. Partway through I stopped to see where my buddy was, he had turned around. Stopping also had the side benefit of catching my breath and wonder what else lie ahead. I was glad I just swapped the Trailwings for knobs on my DR. Down by the closed road/bridge I saw a very large dog in the distance. I was alone at this point so I didn't want to tangle with trouble. As I got closer it was a big fluffy dog with a collar so I hoped he was friendly. He didn't even look up as I rode by. I provided entertainment for him as I maneuvered the bike under the metal bars blocking the bridge.
