The <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />North New Mexico “Time to Ride” adventure was a good ride with a bunch of great guys. We encountered some soft sand, jumped a log or two, went down some steep rocky slopes and found some nice roads through scenic New Mexico mountain areas. I need to learn to pack lighter, there was 40 pounds of unnecessary tools, fuel , tubes, rain gear and other goods piled on the back of my old Honda. Here are some shots from the ride.

JonS travelled the greatest distance for this ride coming from Bluff Utah. AtomicXRer was welcoming him to the group.

Some of the extra weight on my bike did pay off when JonS ran out of gas.

JonS, Akasy and Slojoe rode the easy way back to Ojo Caliente while the others tackled some more sand on their way back. The mileage for the day on my bike was 95 miles and 2 gallons of fuel used. Thanks to AtomicXRer for getting this ride organized and to all the others for a fun day out in the woods. Please add your pictures and video to show some other views of the trip.

I am working backwards on the videos.

By this time 7 of 11 riders had bailed. Nobody wanted to end the ride in a sandy arroyo. :lol3 Only Ditch, steveo, elgato gordo, and I wanted more punishment. :clap

First world complaint here, but I really am hating that I can't watch Youtube videos at work. Can't wait to get home.

Last video of this ride. This one is a section along FR97 that runs parallel to US285 before cutting over west toward Las Tablas.

I had a great time riding with you all. :clap Maybe do this one again in the Fall.

Time to explore new trails...I have one in mind too. :evil
