That country up there, the geological formation known as the Canadian Shield, holds my attention like few other places in the world. Took an afternoon ride. Was miserable. Sometimes the best rides are those which are miserable in the moment, but in hindsight have a little whiff of adventure. I promised myself not to take any chances, and I didn't, but I'm pleased with my little camping trip. Driving up the north shore of Lake Superior, I spotted an interesting cloud formation sweeping ashore. It moved very swiftly and you really needed a video to appreciate it. 15 seconds and it was gone. I pulled in to the park at Cascade River and settled in. Had a nice night camping and then went for a little run on the trails in the morning. Snow in June.
