They are selling these lifts at Home Depot for $89. They are the ATV model, so they are pretty stout. The picture is at a weird angle, these are definitely stronger than most bike lifts.

MNMusher and I will be leaving my place at 0700. Stop by and ride with us if you want.

Just a reminder for everyone else. Tomorrow will be a movie night! I'm cooking up some chili tonight. Feel free to bring drinks and your own chili receipt if you have one!

    Movie Night and BBQ

What: Movie night and <STRIKE>BBQ</STRIKE> Chili!
    When: 05 October 4-7pm
Where: My <STRIKE>compound</STRIKE> motorcycle workshop in Little Marais, MN. PM me 2 days prior for details.

Seems like a lot of new folks on the ADVRider forum lately! Great to see the NE MN riding community is growing! I'm planning another Movie Night/Meet'n Greet Saturday evening 05 October. I think having it a little earlier in the evening will give everyone time to get home before it gets too late.

I plan on airing Touratech's Washington Backcountry Discovery Route (WABDR) DVD on the 12 foot projector in my workshop or outside if weather permits. It will be DVD 1 of 3. The other 2 DVD's in the series (Colorado and Utah BDRs) will be air'ed at later screenings throughout the winter! Hope to see you there.

Made it to Trail Center Lodge, and two of our Ontario friends were there: Older-not-wiser, plus Felis'. Saw Tom of Lutsen riding down the trail. About 6 more from the LD Riding/Minneapolis crowd appeared. Small showing this year, but pancakes and other chow were consumed.

I then rode to Duluth, to meet my wife and do some Duluth things with her. We then parted ways, she heading south for school in her car, and me back to home on the bike. Kind of windy, rainy, and late; so I didn't stop in at Casa Jesse's. It was "head for the barn". I was a little spooked, after looking across a parking lot in Duluth at dusk, seeing what appeared to be sleet or snow blowing past the parking lot lights. "Oh no, I don't want to get stuck on two wheels in snow yet another time", was my thought.

I'm in Minneapolis on my bike... just say'n. :D

I'm having some weird run-ins (literally) with birds lately. My KTM's have claimed 3 birds in less than a week. This morning while Tippedover and I were riding to MSP, I hit a grouse. I need to start adding bird decals to my bike for every kill, like WWII fighter pilots did when they shot down the Luftwaffe.

Great idea. I just have to think though...if you start keeping tally like that, what will happen when you pass a chicken farm? Fox in the hen house?

Thanks for hosting movie night. It was fun as always. The chili was great.

jesse, better birds than deer. ride safe.
I went past your house during the movie event on my way to the cities but didn't stop for fear of staying too long and also not being able to get out of your driveway with the car. The rain I encountered was biblical.

Probably a wise move. My driveway is *NOT* getting better with age. :D Next spring after all the hard rains, I'm planning on moving the road and possibly adding a switchback, so it's less steep. Then, even your little Prius or Smart car can make the hill. :D Until then, even my street motorcycle rides will continue to have a bit of dual sport action early on!

Wasn't me... I hauled up my Super Enduro yesterday. Will be up at the Sea Villas remodeling a couple condos for the next two weeks. Im supposed to only make noise from 8-5. So I'll get few hours each night to ride around the Lutsen area. :clap

Ran into a guy in Tofte at the Holiday gas station. He had a '12 Tiger. Forgot to ask him if he was an inmate.
