Weren't you thinking about one of these?
Don't think they get much better than that one.
Spring is here (according to the calender), and I finally got to make a nice 35 mile loop (98% unpaved) on my WR.
The orange sign looked inviting - exactly what I had in mind.
The road was nice, except for the spots where there was some ice right under the soft mud, but it kept me in check. Nothing like a slippery surface to remember all the skills I forgot over the winter.
The views were worth the extra effort.
You have to love NH and its wild side. Far away from the pavement, there is beauty to be found. Hopefully all the white stuff will melt soon and I will be able to explore the old class VI roads.
The WR is a blast to ride!
Good to see some melting out there Henry.
Oh, it will be a while...
I can't even imagine the mud season we'll have this year. Last year was dry and I kept coming home wet from every woods ride. This year there will be streams
Anyone up for some trail exploration this weekend Saturday? If the temps stay in the 40s the trails should be passable. I'm definitely not going alone. Meet in either Swanzey or Troy mid morning (to let the morning frost thaw a little)?
PM me if so.
Nice! I'm jealous, I've got a couple weeks before I'll have mine back together and ready to ride. Judging by your bike in this photo, I may leave the stock tail in place, at least through mud season. :eek1
Well, it has its benefits
But I figured it would be the first thing to break when the bike goes down, so i removed it. A little mud never heard anyone. On the trails, I wouldn't be going as fast as on these roads, so mud should be non-issue.
Glad your got out to ride your 1/4 R1!!
Cant wait to see what this seasons trail riding will bring on the new steed!
Hopefully you can keep up with my KLR now!
I might down to ride this wknd, ill give you a buzz.

Looks like I'm gonna swap out the trials tire for full knobbies for a while.
It's not that I cannot keep up with the KLR - I'm just trying to stay behind the smoke curtain
Give me a call.
this bike is at my house, my son is listing it for a co-worker...nice clean bike
70 miles on the WR today put a on my face.
The trails are still not passable with normal tires, but it should be soon. Next exploration is next weekend if someone wants to join in. Knobbies, 650cc or less (no, I'm not helping to rescue a 1200GS from the snowbank)
looks good! i'm down! ya'll should sign up too!
Lunch at Wild Willy's in Rochester, NH on Easter Sunday. Leaving MAX BMW at 10 AM for a ride to Willy's.
hmmm.... what time do you expect to get to Willy's? Oh, just read the link...!
any new material?
Happy Easter my friend...
I was thinking of you when I searched that image out.
Hook. Line. Sinker.
Almost made it to you yesterday. Just ran out of time. Got to Delorme for a few, called in some Drunken Noodles at the Thai Garden for suppah and had to high tail it home. Whizzer was already late. That WR won't last.
We were probably right in Freeport when you were up at Delorme...
Just hanging with DJ and Mary while they are in town.
Yea I expect that WR to go quick, like I said Nathan has no stake in it just selling for his friend at work.
They must serve their food really hot cuz it was still warm when I got home.
Big points when I walked in the door with it, btw.
