...and water crossings...
..scenery and bush roads.
These were all taken from a "9 days in
May" ride that four of os went on.
Someday, I gotta do a ride report.
*goosebumps* This is goona be good!
Warm up the FJ too...never know when the next FD failure rider is gonna drop in and share our beer and wanna join the ride.
Looks like I had better start farkling my Strom. Hmm things to buy crashbars/skidplate knobbies? Hope I can convice the wife to up my allowance <o></o>
good thing I've been practicing:
Some more photos of the area....
A route from Whitefish lake up to HWY 11 around tower mountain.
A hilltop near Nipigon with a view of Superior
vintage sights along the way.
80% of the routes I have gone through on the XRL are do-able on the big bikes, theres always an alternate way to get somewhere.
Thanks for adding in Hekto! I just replaced my hard drive, and alot of my pictures are still on the old one...
I think between Hekto, Steve and I, we can keep everyone entertained, without having to hurt the bigger bikes. Theres always alternate routes,
where some can go one way, and the rest can meet us at the other end, without killing themselves.
Just found this thread. I would be interested in participating in a group ride if I can get the time off. Summer is busy for me and I find it difficult to plan more than long weekend. Let me know the proposed itinerary and I might be able to work it in.
If you can't attend the spring IceBreaker Ride, then maybe the Summer one will line up with your schedule.
Good to hear from you Richard! I was hoping you would find this thread!
I was thinking of a three day weekend...it would be too hard to organize this many people otherwise.
Hekto: Spring Icebreaker Ride! I like that. It has a name.
Make a baby!
Seriously...that's what I did...ya, it cuts into your riding time, but baby is gonna show her appreciation by buying daddy a whole bunch of farkles for xmas...and what's mommy gonna say about it? That 7 month old really know how to work a Visa!
MX footpegs....top case...what else can I order by x-mas?
Hehe that is how I convinced her to let me buy the bike. We had a kid last November. I had tried to buy a bike the summer she was pregnant but responsibility got the best of me. Well during the winter I was doing the good dad thing, getting up lots for night feedings, changing poopy diapers and generally helping wherever I could. Well all that hard work payed off. In spring she said that I should go buy a bike as a reward for being such a good dad. So the moral of the story is "Have a kid, Get a Bike" My little girl is now 1 and I would trade 100 bikes for her. I can hardly wait for her to be old enough to go on rides with me.

P.S. A 3 day long weekend thing would be perfect.
All my kids are grown up, so I get to be a really old, irresponsible, teenager again!
Luckily, I'm quite good at it.
I went from 230lb to 195....that was the deal to get my bike 2 years ago.
The deal was also to keep off the weight..which is a bit of a challenge...so better get back on the wagon before this ride gets nixed.
Trying to post pic of the baby on a CRF but it's not resizing properly....will keep trying.
Well, the CRF pic will have to wait...but this one is pretty good too. This was taken during the summer...maybe at 4 months? As you know, they change every single day...so it's hard to keep track.
do a google seach for a program called infranview. It is free and makes resizeing pictures really easy.
....even easier, download the XP image resizer, right from microsoft.
Just download the file, install it, and right click on any picture, and
it will ask you whay size you want to resize to.
I jusr resized this one with it, caught this guy right in my back yard.
