    Hey Rob
Is it possible to get from the end of Barnum Lake road back to Dog Lake rd on a bike or is it only possible bushwacking on the sleds?

Ahh. The first time through, the video only played the first 9 minutes or so. That explains it. We were snowshoeing much further down about a 20 minute walk up from the Cascades Conservation Area. We made it all the way up to the top of the cascades though - where the river flattens out.

Not from the end of Barnum but you can cut across aways up and head north to Monday lake road which leads to Dog Lake. KEL115 has been trying to find a way to get across from the end of Barnum but so far no luck.

Ya, we are much further north, although we've been thinking about heading south on the river and see how far we get :evil

While I am completely capable of driving myself to the hospital, when I get there, the only way in from any parking lot is up two flights of treacherous, outdoor stairs?

Who was the IDIOT that designed that? Then there's the 300 ft long, 3 story high windows in the cafeteria that leak like a sieve, and face nothing. Nice fucking work people!:eek1

Ron, are you talking about our Hospital or the one in Hamilton? Ours, if you enter off the Golf Links side, it's an even level entrance and you can take the elevator to the floors. Two parking lots over there also.

All I can tell you: 10 minutes to drive there, 15 minutes to walk in. Place is a total piece of shit.

At least it isn't in a Ghetto, like the one in Winnipeg and Hamilton.

Hey guys, 'scuse the spamish nature of this post.

I launched AssistanceList.com on Monday. Crowdsourced on/off road assistance. Beyond the sign up page, more info under the 'About' menu item. Give it a look and sign up.

Health care is cheap here, but in Canada it's a pretty good deal. Hopefully the worst of your ordeal is behind you.

Kokeneen: welcome to ADVRider . Are you going to the Northern Riders rally in May?

Ya its easy to get turned around if you don't have a gps and you stop paying attention for a minute. However it is some of the mOst beautiful backcountry around if you know the right roads to take and I am always up for playing tour guide.

Good question. Do we have firm dates in May? Somebody hosting, or are we doing something radically different?
