Thanks for the tip. I will try that. It has to be the worst starting bike I've ever owned. (and mine is piped and jetted) The odd thing is, with the jetting, once it fires up, it runs like it has fuel injection, right from cold. Your tip makes sense, there have been times i have drained the carb, then let it refill, and then it fires up just fine.
Too bad, because otherwise, I really like the bike. (Mine is a 2006)

It makes me really appreciate the FI on the Ninja 300.

Anyone in Thunder Bay have a small utility trailer with a ramp I can use to move a quad to a shop to get looked at?

Garth - I have an Aluma trailer that has the bi-fold gate/ramp you can use. It fits a 2" ball.

    could help me with this.
Has anyone here ever lost a garage or structure to fire and had uninsured off-road vehicles in the garage? I lost a few bikes and a atv that we're in a garage
It's not my largest worry in the world right now but if anyone has had to go through this and is willing to have a discussion can you send me a pm?
    Thanks

Gumbellion - so sorry to hear about that. I've had 3 uninsured playbikes in the garage up until last year and it was something that was always on my mind. Hopefully someone will PM you with some useful information.

Sorry to hear! As Mike suggested, possibly someone can offer some insight. I know I have out building coverage, but insofar as content, not to sure how far that extends, so I carry insurance on all my bikes. We have storage coverage available to us in Manitoba.

The "Very Boring Rally" is on, for the summer of 2018. There are no details yet, however a staff member at the store confirmed it will take place.
I would suspect August , as the previous two rally's held there in conjunction with National Trials events.

It was a good time. Watching people who can ride trials bikes like a pro is something that should not be missed. Will go again!

Sorry to hear that! I used to do restoration work and I've seen it all...if you know anyone in the insurance industry it seems you can get anything...if you don't know anyone in the industry it seems that you get screwed! Best thing you can try is to scream "Lawyer" sometimes that scares them enough to get something done! Other than that, good luck!

Insurance: The devil is in the details. I cannot believe all the available 'outs' built in to my home policy. In BC there is a 'lawyer's referral service' which gets you 20-30 minutes of a suitable lawyer's time for $20-30 max and no obligation created, you just fire questions at them. Helps to clarify the legal issues you face and consider options.

Sorry to hear of the loss, pretty tough. On the other hand, enjoy the new child, soon to arrive!!

this weekend we have finally been Able to think straight. I found a policy booklet on the insurance provider site that helps defining everything.
So my suggestion is for everyone to go read your policies and ensure you understand your coverages

Is there not a victim of crime fund you can tap into?

What's the scoop on the arsonist? Damned glad he was caught. What motivates people like that!?

Oh man! That's terrible. There's a big problem with arson (back lane garage fires) here in Winnipeg... arson in general. It's heartbreaking. So sorry that you and your family became victims. I hope insurance does what they can.

I believe after court appearance you will be asked to provide a victim impact statement, good place to mention out of pocket costs not covered by any insurance film flam.
