Anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably scenic ride down to Charlottesville from the Warrenton area? Want to hit Clark Brothers in the morning and then C'Ville for lunch. Straight down 29 is just too dull on the KLR

George is a first class guy. when the ABS on my K bike took a crap, he diagnosed it and referred me to Morton's. Didnt charge me for his time and i think he spent a fair amount on it. He also met me at his shop on a Sunday when i needed a clutch lever after dropping my bike for the umpteenth time. you dont find people like that very often.:thumb

Depends on how much time you have and if you want to hit any gravel. This is a sedate balance of 29 to Culpepper then backroads the remainder. If you haven't been to The Exchange BBQ in Gordonsville, I'd recommend it :thumb

If you do have more time you can check out some of the great roads west of 29 :deal

About to take off the tire and maybe brake discs and send it to Woody's Wheels. Have any other local options I could fall back on for truing them :ear

I was thinking the same thing but I don't think I can go a week even without riding. I have no idea about a local shop. I would rather go local personally.

As I just shared with a fellow FF...

    The Moto show...

Friday is a good time cause there ain't no crowds.

The show is 20% smaller than last year but this year BMW is in attendence.
At BMW, looked at the 800, the 700, the 650.
And do look at the Husky 650. Kinda like an updated KLR only a little smaller.

And if the Ducati booth dosen't attract your attention, your dead.
The Hypermotard is over the top and the "demo" girls too.
(Note to self: the overhead on either may kill ya)

The Triumph 800XT still talks to me but the 800 Tenere does not.

Theres' a bumblebee edition of the KLR this year.

    Didn't see any accessories I had to have.(that I didn't already have)

Generally, an evenings entertainment for the same price as a movie.

I'm thinking about buying a ds soon and wonder if there are many places around ashburn to ride. I do have a truck so a bit of a drive wouldn't be terrible.
