Right, but I don't want to pay $4k for something that I can get for around $1K
But those Northstar fridges are so sexy....
have you considered this: http://www.restorenova.org/
my self and friends have all come out of there with pretty good deals on stuff that was pretty good.
Hadn't thought about that. I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip!
Might also look for the "scratch and dent" stuff at local retailers.
does anyone know where to buy 20W-50 Amsoil Motorcycle oil locally here in NoVa ?
There are some local "dealers" who may have it in stock, check the amsoil website. I still have a case on my shelf if you need a few quarts to get you by.
If nothing else closer pans out, GRD Cycle in White Plains, MD should have it.
The Advance Auto in Dahlgren carries Amsoil motorcycle oil. I think below list.
I may be parting with my 2012 Wee...just over 6K miles. PM me if you are interested in more details or pics.
-Metallic Fox Orange
-Nelson Rigg soft saddlebags and top bag
-Motorcycle dolly for easy maneuvering anywhere in your garage
-TKC 80's on currently with decent tread left
-BRAND NEW stock tires NEVER USED!
-Never laid down!
Happy New Year!
Happy new year y'all. See ya around
Yes, a happy new year's to all! Ride safely.
In that spirit, had a chance to install this year's Christmas farkle. Should make low temp rising much easier and the increased visibility can't hurt!
^ looking good!
Saw an R1200GS and F700GS parked outside Misha's Coffee in Alexandria around 4:30. Anyone on here?
Happy New Year, NoVA peeps!
Really wish Santa had brought me this, sweet original and rare bike
Does it have to be Amsoil? If not pretty much every Advance Auto store carries Mobil 1 20W-50.
I was trying to save on shipping if possible. my K bike has almost 56k on it on and the previous owner used Amsoil. I know I don't "have" to use Amsoil but I still want to. I know that anyone who buys 2 cases is considered a dealer. when you go to their site and type in locations, it shows a bunch of people who have obviously done this. seems like I'd call someone only to find they'd bought it a couple of years ago for themselves. anyways I went ahead and directly ordered 4 quarts from Amsoil and paid almost $60 with shipping :eek1. thanks to everyone who replied to my question.
The Advance Auto in Dahlgren had it for about $10.50 a quart. Our local NAPA is $12. Go figure. You can pay $20 a year and be a preferred customer and buy from the distribution center. I did this for a year when I made regular trips though Richmond. It is near the airport. I stocked up.
Olympus auto parts in NOVA has a couple cases of the 20w50 in Alexandria (give or take 24 bottles) for 11.66 that they can transfer to any other Olympus location.
18 degrees today, good times, good times. . ..
(Down for the count until I can get the place where the Beast's left valve cover screws into the cylinder re-threaded so he no longer tries to help us elude pursuit by spewing oil out that side.)
