Have you looked into Roadstar, or another microwave ISP (WiMax)?

I have the mifi 2200 through verizon. It has a 5gig monthly limit, but it's pretty fast and a better option for me than the sat link. I've checked around and we don't have any other options here.

I have my first hall pass of the year - Sunday 10-2 :evil

Anyone going for a ride looking for company?

I think I'll take out the new GS and head west for 2 hours the come back, but my plans are still a bit unsettled.

Sounds like we are close with similar plans.

I'm open and up for most anything between 10-2 , but probably more street this time - too much mud and a new bike to break in.

Yep - Met up with Locomatt and we cruised the back roads from Middleburg down to 211 - crossed the gap and had a snack at BK in Louray, then back via 675 up to 55.

A favorite loop - 185 ish mile 4 hour tour and loads of fun.

Going up 211 heading west - the road was fine, going down there was a lot of sand in the apexes.

675 was sandy as usual this time of year, and I think we both enjoyed the river section at the top.

The small roads in LoCo were in bad shape. Potholes galore, sand and bikes.

Lots of spandex - and this early in the season, not the good kind.:huh

Got a '05 KLR right before Xmas, needs the doohickey replaced, looking for someone with the tools/and or know-how to help me replace it in the next few weeks so I can go RIDE without the worry of a tensioner failure. A case of ur favorite beer as payment?

And since this is ADV, I expect that to be in the PBR, The Beast, or Old Milwaukee family of finely crafted beers...:rofl :freaky

BTW- I live in DC but can ride to ??

I was running a set of Tusk ATV High Bend Bars from Rockymountainatv.com
I chose to go that route as opposed to risers in order to save money and be able to comfortably stand on the pegs riding DS.
Picked them up for $16 and they proved crash worthy :shog I did not need to replace any of my cables. They have bar measurements on their site explaining the exact rise and pull. I'd try and mock up the controls to that size approx and see what stretches and what doesn't.

Also will raise your windscreen and put your mirrors in a better spot.

Humm... Looks like more pull-back than I want.

I really just want the "U" the bars make down to the clamp to be deeper, and keep the other angles the same, raising the plane of the hand grips up.

Guess that means risers. Good thing I haven't ordered a new brake line, as I believe the additional height plus routing constraints imposed by the handguards mean a longer line with a more tightly bent banjo fitting.

At least the fork boots worked out.
