This looks like peach orchard?
So Rox Risers look like the solution:
Will let me keep my stock top clamp in the same place, avoiding ignition key issues.
Naturally nobody stocks these in the NoVA area so I get to wait another week. *sigh*
Anyone riding this Sunday?
Got Labs....maybe....playing Golf Saturday...If I win I play Sunday....if not I ride....will let you know.
Almost didn't make it. Ended up running .5hr late so I missed VAcommuter, decided to check out the local area instead. It was cold, wet and miserable but I managed over 100 miles.
Looks like temps will be in the 80s toward the end of the week. Maybe the better weather will increase the odds of a good sized group ride.
Yeah, it was almost miserable this morning once it started raining. Definitely ready to start riding more.
Had some fun in the rain earlier then rode for about 45mi directly into the T-Storms on 81:eek1 I've done that ride with the truck spray and 100ft visabilty too many times for my own damn good. Happy to be home, alive and safe. Beer me
You've been beered!
Old Man River and I got back into Front Royal just as it started spitting rain yesterday after setting the tag.
anyone looking for an exotic trials bike? Yes, then check out the DC craigslist for this, I have no connection to the seller, just saw it that's all.
Got me a very rare free day on Saturday.
Anyone want to do some type of DS ride around the Loudoun county area?
I am itching to get the 'tard out and hit some gravel.
I could also take out the GS and hit some apexes.
Ifing ya all are staying in - I will stain the deck instead. Save me from 5 gallons of deck stain and lets get some dirt.
Thought today would just do some riding around some dirt roads then up to Skyline for lunch.....maybe see some of you guys up there....look for the dirty GSA....be riding 2 up Prolly have lunch at Elk Wallow.
Anyone know of a local store that carries Sidi boots?
Would like to take a look at a pair of Discovery Rain Boots.
MND....was just at Mortons BMW last Friday....they just started carrying them.
Yea, they're closed today so I'll have to wait until tomorrow.
If you just want to confirm what size you wear, Coleman Powersports in Woodbridge has some Sidi boots in stock, but as of last fall, did not carry the Discovery Rain. Instead of ordering them online, I had Coleman order me the boots since they offer a military discount. They arrived in under a week.
Revzilla in Philadelphia has a large selection of Sidi boots, including the Discovery Rain, if you happen to be going in that direction.
Well, Mortons was out of the Disco Rains in my size but I ended up liking the Adv Rain better anyway, so I got a pair of those, which was good because the field boots I've been wearing were full of holes and I got rained on coming back home.
A little tweaking on the shift lever and everything will be happy.
(It amuses me that I paid almost $100 more for boots than I did for the bike I'm riding.)
MND....Which ones did you end up getting....the BMW ones ???
Sidi Adventure Rain
The Discovery has a third clasp on the ankle, somewhat less sacrificial plastic and metal reinforcement on the toe. The third clasp made getting my jeans cuff over the boot rather difficult.
I'm glad they were out of the Discovery in my size as it forced me to look at the Adventure, which works better for me.
MND....I wear the Sidi Discovery and I found that after you wear them for a bit , they loosen up and you can shift better.....on my Kawi I did indeed have to adjust the shifter a bit. Nice boots you got....even though as you pointed out they are more costly than the bike you ride....you may have to take out a rider on your insurance policy for them..
