    Indeed.

Why are these three RTE diners (from left, Wreckchecker, Karen, His Pistolship) smiling?

Answer: Because they arrived astride Super Teneres!

(Those black beauties certainly added some class to the KLR-rich parking lot population at the Griffin Tavern!)

Does any one have a drill press in their home shop in or around the Beltway? I need to make a clean hole through a hitch tube... 1/4in thick steel. The hole needs to 3/4".

I don't have any experience drilling thick steel accurately and I believe a drill press would be ideal. If anyone could lend a hand I would certainly appreciate it :D

I have one, a medium duty Ryobi - but shouldn't have any trouble with 1/4" steel. You're welcome to use it if you can't find anyone closer. I live just east of IAD. (Met you this past summer on a local ride.) Hope all is well!

I'm sure I can do it at our shop. But due to the nature of the facility, you'll have to give it to me to bring it in. I could meet you nearby and do the handoff and you can grab lunch or get gas while I drill it. It's down in the Springfield area.

I'm in training T, W, and TH, but should be back there Friday. Next week should be fine too. I'll likely be too tied up this weekend.

I've got one in Annandale. The hole saws I have are 13/16" O.D.

Sorry for the very late notice but it was unexpected meeting.

Fellow ADV'er Harti is back in DC from Germany, last summer he rode the TAT and then proceeded back home to Germany via Siberia, Mongolia, the stan countries and eastern europe, so truly an epic adventure. Come drink a beer if you can to Aria, R. Reagan plaza, Federal Triangle metro stop 4:30-?. Update- may switch venue to Elephant and Castle to sit outside, 1 blk away 1200 Penn Ave. so check both.

    Harti's ride report here http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=750189

Been awhile Scott. Good to see you posting again. I was getting ready to call and see if you had fallen of the face of the earth.

No, haven't gone yet. Was waiting for a proposal award notification (which could really impact my time off . . . .) but that keeps getting slid to the right.

Didn't get a chance to post this until now - saw a group of 3 (?) dualsports around Ashburn Sunday afternoon turning onto Waxpool Road from Waxpool Rd (yes, pretty sure that is how the intersection is set up...) One person on a Suzuki I think, didn't really get a good look at the others.

Was it anyone on this list? I was on my way home on my still unproven Husky 450, which confirmed that status by stalling out so many times on the way home that the battery died and I had to call for a pickup within 5 miles of my house. Time for some fiddling before the next ride...

I'm in the market for another bike and I've found this '06 KTM 950 that looks interesting. However it's down in Georgia. While I've ridden a lot of different bikes, I have yet to try out a KTM 950 or 990. So my question to those who own one of these beautiful machines is would you let me take yours for a little test spin to see how the bike fits me and if it's worth me investigating further? I'm currently living up by Annapolis, MD but I come down to work in Newington (right by Springfield) every day.

If you can help, please PM me.

    Thanks,

    Denis.

All is well in ARL. Cycling more than moto recently but sure saves $ and the planet. This just means I'm overdue for a long ride to nowhere.
