Guy at a catherders Campout went down in that bridge on a weestrom once too....dark, dropped off raised tracks, handlebar hit sidewall, crash....
Anybody want to ride in the drizzle, get the tag and eat breakfast tomorrow early a.m?
I'd love to but I volunteered to Coach two classes this weekend. $$$
Wasn't supposed to start until April but there was a mix up in the school calendar and they didn't have anyone to Coach. Just got back home from teaching the classroom part....
You could come by LFCC and say hi if you're out and about. I'll be there from 7AM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday.
The often tagged Meem's Bottom covered bridge, Mt. Jackson VA
Sorry for the crappy photos...it was raining hard by this point
Historical marker just southeast of junction of Orkney Grade and major north south valley road named for the Senedo indian tribe of the Shenandoah Valley.
Home boys wupped up on the yankees here during the War of Northern Aggression
Rudy is at base of sign...
Your duck is belong to me:
According to Gooogle, this is 5800 blk of Senedo Rd in Quicksburg.
Time for lunch and then the next tag
Are you going to leave us Ali.
Rudy was miffed when i told him I only have lunch with gators. So I had to find a place for a snack. Luckily I came upon this Country Store. My GPS says the town doesnt exist even though the road leading here is named for it.
Across the street from this building
On the side of the store is a big scale
The board is held up by cinder blocks. On the left side, Rudy is hidden in the rear portion of the left hand cinder block.
Well done sir! Did you get blown all over the road. That wind has been whipping today!
Yes I did. It really caught me off guard. Its made worse with that big ass windshield on my KLR. Wasn't bad on the way back home.
Wow exclamation points glad to see this duck finally moving around. And I know exactly where the new tag site is but I don't know if I'll be able to get to it soon.
With the RTE this weekend I dont see this sitting long.

I haven't logged into ADV in almost a year but the 2 wheel itch is returning so I pulled up the page today to see what was going on with the Cat Herders and I find you talking about me.
Yeah it was dark in that bridge, especially with sunglasses on. And the problem was that I didn't know there was raised tracks. I entered the bridge in the middle and at some point thought I'd move over a bit. I hit that ledge and finished as you said above.
That was the begining of the end for that bike 'cause we hit that deer the following weekend and totaled it.
Been doing alot of 4 wheel exploring and traveling lately but the new Vsrtoms are mighty sexy. I might get the chance to chase some tags and ride all the way across that bridge some day soon.
Glad to see you guys are still riding and keeping the game alive.
So good to see you on!
Would love to have you riding with us again someday
What Mike said!
Mathew, I hope you and the misses are doing well and hope to see a grab from you in the near future.
Where have you been exploring?
Yeah I hope to be riding again soon and I know where the tag is at; I've stopped at that station many times on my way to the tower.
I spent much of last year working in Israel and briefly in El Salvador.
It was time for a vacation so we took three months off to explore Mexico and beyond.
Much of the first month was spent getting to and particpating in the Maya Rally which was a 10 day "race" that zig zaged it's way thru Mexico, ultimately finishing just a few miles north of the Mexico/Belize border. The following two months we spent exploring Belize, Guatemala, another pass north thru Mexico, CA, Oregon, NV, AZ and several other states.
We covered about 15000 miles in 12 weeks.
We made it back to VA a few weeks ago and I'm already starting to dream about the next big trip.
Alcan 5000 in 2014?
Bravo! Time for a little get together at the Irish pub with Keith I'd think....
