Good work. I used to participate in the VA tag a lot years ago...then things got kind of political with how tags were being done so I quit. Plus they aren't much on dirt ride to tags unless it is very maintained dirt roads.

Let's keep it up here a while!

Ingrid's new tag spot is on a gravel section of a road named after a creepy old poet from Baltimore that authored a well-known poem that I alluded to in my last tag in the NoVA Tag-o-Rama game on Friday 8/29. This road is named after him in the possessive sense, and apparently there is a North and South version of this road, this is on the one furthest away from Antarctica.

If you enter it from the south via a road that joins Marshall and Flint Hill, be careful since the intersection is just after a very fun, twisty bit...plan ahead and ride easy. Some time after you make the turn onto the tag road, you'll know you're on the right track when you see this bridge (although your bike should be pointed the opposite direction as mine):

The Duck chose this area, what with it being Sunday and all...

Tag spot is right behind my bike in the picture below:

Tag spot is somewhere between this....

    ...and this...

And that's MORE than enough way-easy clues...so Happy Grabbing!

The grab was on North Poes Rd., Flint Hill, Rappahannock Co.

    Egads on the seat...

    New tag...

Egads hidden in the tree.I placed a couple more leaves on his head...

A little ways back. Notice the "posted" sign in the tree...

    And the money shot...

As I was setting this a guy pulled up and told me the owners of the land to the right in the pic would raise hell if they caught me there. They were the ones who caused such a stink a few years back with folks who would come down to the river to cool off. Some of those folks got charged, and convicted of, trespassing. I don't see where they can give us grief for stopping to grab a tag but if you want to stick around I'd suggest going to the other side of the bridge to do so.

For clues please visit the Virginia tag-O-rama thread. :D

Some are only 15' from center. This portion looks like it could be 15' based on the fence lines.
I fully agree that it is a public road but if LEO's wanted to be difficult they could still give a person grief for parking in the ROW, IF they were to catch someone there. Most taggers will be gone in just a few minutes so it's no big deal.
The guy who stopped also told me the owner had video cameras up. The main reason for the heads up is the landowner is a huge dick and was calling 911 on a regular basis for anything...including a guy just jogging down road. Better to grab and go than screw with that prick.

I'll post a link to the issues after the grab.

It's pretty increadible what lengths this guy has gone thru to keep people off his land and what he percieved to be "his" stream. The sad part is the courts sided with him until he became a thorn in their side(calling 911 every time the wind blew). From what I understand having them overturn a ruling originally in his favor has made him that much more of a whack job.

I'm suddenly tempted to give the location to some 1%ers and tell them there is a couple bottles of George Dickle hidden near the Duck just off the road a piece. :)

My brother Wayne has been riding with the Vagos for quite a few years but I doubt they'll want to come out here from Barstow CA. How would this road be on a bobber with suicide shift? Maybe I can tempt him with the free beer cozie... :evil
