So I am looking at a nikon coolpix l120. The 120 has the basic key features to get me started, 20x zoom, vr stabilization, and the price point used is right at $80. Opinions?

The best camera is the one in your hand. :thumb
They're all worth posting. It's just fun to see other people out there having a great time. I have the Panasonic ZS10. There's a lot to be said for software. :evil
Just get out there and explore. And take lots of pictures so you can share with the rest of us. :clap :rofl :clap

I may have posted these on here before, but I shot these with my wife's old Canon Powershot A95. They are GREAT cameras that are available used on ebay for CHEAP. This one has one bid at $35!

Wow, these pics are amazing! I would have never thought a pocket sized point and shoot could go to that level.
Jjdun you are right. Instead of over complicating this I just need to start riding and taking pics!
Fwiw I enjoy stopping here and seeing everyones work. Thank you.

    WOW.....the recent pictures are fantastic!

I really need to get out and start taking pictures so I have something to contribute.

Regarding cameras, I totally agree that it has a lot more to do with composition and lighting than the camera. I know at least one person here that has taken pictures with their phone that I thought were taken with a DSLR.

    Jon...

A solid mile from any natural water source, and these noisy little buggers return every year.
