I know people who schedule their lives around what games are on TV.

I've tried watching, but find televised sports boring as hell. Being at a live game is fun, especially non-pro stuff.

I really wish I lived somewhere with nice weather on Stupid Bowl.

I love sports, and I'm not going to watch the super bowl. Too many commercials (and all of the good ones are on youtube) and too many stoppages.

    But tonight:

Nothing more boring than sitting around watching a bunch of millionaires play football, baseball etc. Then the assholes went and fucked up the Olympics.

I enjoy the game, and love the ads also, as I find marketing more interesting than sports generally.

Generally hate the halftime shows, especially when they fill the arena with smoke. They should just showcase new American talent in a mix of genres, and let the relics stay in the retirement home where they belong.

Although I did enjoy Janet's nipslip, Bruce's sliding crotch shot, and M.I.A.'s salute.

My wife is into football but i could not care less about it. i can watch it but I don't go out of my way to. If it is not raining we'll be riding up the coast for fish tacos and to see the South American Reef surfing championship, eat fish tacos and have an IPA at the new brewery before coming home and going to super bowl party, mostly for networking purposes.
My life totally does not suck.

She'll be yelling at the TV..."break his legs!!!".

I'll be working on my bike in the cellar.

I took her to the super bowl once.

    The purple team won.

If my coworkers spent as much time working as they do talking about sports, we'd get some stuff done!

I personally am not interested in any sports at all. I will go if I'm offered free tickets, because it's a social thing, but I really don't give a hoot which guy grabbed a ball and ran away with it.

I think it gives people a common thing to talk about but beyond that I'm pretty meh about sports.

That said I do like going to a baseball game on a nice spring day. It has nothing to do with the game though; they could be doing interpretive dance for all I care as long as the beer and dogs keep coming.

I've got one buddy that has no interest in football but pointed out that Superbowl Sunday is the buffalo wing holiday which I can agree with.

My buddy has a big house and will be having a party. Last year, there were probably 30 people there. It's a great party. The wives and the casual watchers will be downstairs. More serious viewing and yelling goes on upstairs. I'll be splitting my time between the two.

What's with the "we" shit? "We won," spoken by some geriatric three hundred pounder. Do most people actually have so little of value in their own lives that they have to identify with people with whom they have nothing in common let alone never met?
    :norton

I am so uninterested in games played by overpaid dumbasses who are worshipped as though they were jeebus that I have no idea when I should take advantage of America's stupidity in order to go riding. Go [insert random team here]!

When exactly is the Stupid Bowel, day and time, preferably Mountain Time?

Seriously. I used to go to a sports bar for every college/pro playoff/bowl game when I was stationed in Offutt AFB. When I got back from Korea my interest waned and nearly disappeared after Kuwait. I love watching motorcycle racing and some other sports but lost interest in idolizing millionaires prancing around on TV. I have not missed the Super Bowl, other than while in Korea, in the past 30 years. I love the commercials and it gives me a great excuse to drink too much beer. Try watching it with friends just ONCE.
