nobody ever takes this road!
A little late but here's some pics...
Checked in Friday morning with the wifey...
Inmate IHF (wanker) sent me a track to Buzzard's Roost. I'd never been there before so I had to check it out. Nice twisty roads to get there...
Stopped at the crick for a photo op...
Buzzard's Roost... ADV baby!
What a view!
A nice place to stop along the route...
More nice scenery...
Back at casa "Z" for the weekend...
Saturday's weather wasn't as good but we decided to make our way to Roan Mtn to check it out...
It started to rain and we forgot our rain gear.
We stopped at a local wally world and picked some up. There was a Mexican restaurant around the corner and we were a little hungry...
We headed over towards Roan Mtn with a few stops along the way...
Got up to the top and we find this... Oh well, we'll have to check it out another time.
Nice scenery on our way back to camp...
We got back a little late so we decided to get a bite to eat at a local restaurant where it was nice and warm. We had a great time and met some good peeps. Thanks for putting the rally together Silke.
Cool beans..... glad you made it up there dood. I hope the wifey had a good time.
We came by on Friday and found Casa Z but ya'll wuz out on the trail.
I left my footprint in the dirt right there by your tent..... hope you found it.
I was gunna pull the poles out of your tent but ........ had already flipped off about a dozen guys while riding thru the campground . . . . . so I thought I better not stop IHF no likey butt whoopins
Yea, I didn't think I did a donut in the middle of camp.
Thanks for the tracks d00d.
Three weeks in a hard cast, three in a walking cast. Ditched the walking cast last week...no running, jumping, or sexy high heels until the end of December. (Yeah, whatever!!!).
Ankle is still a little swollen but I can finally bend the big toe that I dislocated, and popped back in, so now I can pick up the dirty clothes from the floor!
Raised the front forks on the bike so now the suspension is back to stock. New chain and sprockets, new turn signals...the front faring needs a little band-aid but other than that she's good and I was riding the day the hard cast came off.
Good news, n00b!
looks much better
and thanks for cleaning up your leg before taking a pic... they are nasty fresh out of a cast
I thought Carol's foot might have died when they took hers off.
Glad you were able to complete a ride.
Them are some gnarly looking feet... :huh
Now, now. Be nice.
Whatever, Fred Flintstone (feet)!
dayum....there go my key board...
Glad your all better...
are there going to be a spring nottarally
yup, that's called the RDV
j/k that is an all inclusive rally and it requires a lot of prep and work, so I don't think I can swing both.
But..... if somebody else would like to do the legwork, I will certainly attend
Bueller, Bueller, Dave, Shane, Kenny, Hunter?????? anybody?
I should have seen this post before our flurry of PM's last night.
Alright guys: Wouldn't it be nice if Silke could just kick back, relax and enjoy at least one event without having to actually coordinate the thing? The RDV is enough for anyone to do, so let's put our heads together and come up with a plan for continuing to have our fall get together while relieving Silke of some pressure.
The thing practically runs itself anyway, how hard can it be?
. Thanks for volunteering to take command Dave.
I'm in, spring and/or fall, but I think one is enough. I had said I would keep up with a new thread, but I would be more than happy to see you be point man.
