You will have a better chance of finding riders at dcsportbikes.com. And yes, I'm serious. Some of those guys ride pretty often.
Also, post up on dcsportbikes.net, there are some that ride in all temps.
Friday I'm riding to work. Saturday's I don't ride, because that's when the real riders at dcsquidbikes are out.
I am riding on Sunday. I need to take it easy though. It looks like hopefully spring time till my wrist is 100% again.
Route or destination ideas?
I'm in for Friday. Are the DRZ's the chosen weapon? or should we do the strom and the 950
I'll need to get an Inspection for the DRZ this week but that should not be a big deal.
When the tard arrives, I'm leaving the slicks on it...
No and yes. The part is in, I'm gonna' tell them to finish it this week. I will ride with you if it's warm enough (I'm a girl) and I got the bike back. I'm dying to ride. You need to put a few miles on the Strada... really. You do.
I'll burn up the slicks (241 lbs, that will take a while, no?) then put regular street tires on.
Who is this iDave clown anyway?
Another damn DC posuer?
Judging by the seat on that DRZ that iDave guy must have a, er, um, large posterior!
What is that thang??
Wish I could ride, my son stuffed his R6 into the front of a truck (left turner truck - broken left leg, arm - radius, ulna and humerus in several places, hand) Monday 9th, trying to get him home from U.Va. so he can join my wife who's recovering from a ruptured brain aneurism. I've ridden my new-to-me GS exactly twice. AARRRRRRGGGGHHHH.
Sorry to hear that Oldno...I hope they both heal swiftly and completely
Thanks Steve. My wife is recovering very well and is damned lucky to be alive. My son is really hurting but has come through 2 surgeries this week in pretty good shape. Plan is for him to come here for 8 weeks to recover (he's 26, normally lives in Harrisonburg) since he's going to be confined to a wheelchair for a while.
What can I say? I'm glad they are both still here and have a chance to get back to health - could be a lot worse in both cases.
I'll get some riding in later.
Sorry to hear that Oldno, thanks for the reality check, you'll have your hands full taken care of your family.... Best of luck.
I still have the deathwings on my drz. I have the feeling your SM is going to run circles around my S.
The 1150gs is still in peices, so I'll be on the xr650. I am ashamed to say that I need to drive the bike down in the back of my truck. I have a killer dirt route I have been dying to do for a while now just past Broadway Va. Let me know where and when you want to meet.
Dude, I'm very sorry to hear this. I hope they get better soon.
If I don't have my kids I can ride on Saturday. Sunday will most likely be hangover recovery day.
Broken wrist, Killer dirt route - Just WTF part of "need to take it easy" do you understand????
Sound like you boyz r gonna play to rough for me an my big GS...NO?
Compared to the shit we went through in NC and TN, this will be a walk in the park. Just some nice fireroads.
My riding style may not be but the bike is legal.
