Sorry Rob, I originally had "And keeping with the Buddhist theme... I moved this to New Haven", but I guess tapatalk stomped that last phrase with the picture. :D

btw, I googled "buddhist CT 17" and it popped right up...

Buddhism is a great Philosophy, spoiled by dogma

religions come and go, only prayer remains constant because god is the gift of Desperation

if you take some time to walk up the hill you'll find the biggest fire pit i've ever seen along with some bunkers and a black powder cellar built upon an ancient burial ground. the pit was useful in 1779 as the brits were coming...

that's a pretty sweet road and the hike over the falls to the fire tower is better this time of year without foliage...

Hobbomock I'm glad to see it moved.
It was a good day to be out. I saw several bikes taking advantage of the warm day.
I knew you grabbed that tag, I passed you going the other way on rte 67 just south of Oxford town hall at 3:19.
I was in my work truck. Did you stop at the falls when you went by?

I'd never thought about that being open to the public my kids would probably love it.

    finally, confirmed suspicions.

i think we all do that, especially when tagging. Every dual sport has just bruced you and even street bikes are suspicious

    no hiking today

i was on a crew that built those brightly painted Vic's just north of the falls back in the '80s. over-stayed lunch several times while at the falls...

Yea, his bike is very drool worthy. Pics don't do it justice. Patch, nice tag, pic is only so-so.

I used to have a SLR (film) that had a big wide angle lens and it took amazing vehicle pictures. You could fill the whole picture with the subject.

This is probably the best picture I've taken of my bike so far. Best I can do with the camera I have.

The tree in the background, in front of my house, is about 13 feet in circumference. I had the canopy wired together and it's survived some serious storms. I estimate it's roughly 100 years old - same as my house.

Rob... that bike shot is money!

Yeah... I usually keep my better powershot in the tankbag but lately have been taking tag shots with my old beater kodak. Its waterproof, takes a good bounce on the road when I drop it, and keeps on clicking. Not a great lens and really needs light to take a decent pic but it just won't die. Same set of batteries since last December!

Thanks for the comments on the bike guys... I've been really happy with it - riding it and looking at it :evil

Heres a better shot from when I picked her up last year:
