Yeah, Will's story got a bit loud and the folks behind us with children got offended and asked us to chill because of the kids. I took one for the team and apologized.

I told them to fuck off it’s a bar
    But I was over ruled.....

It was just a long conversation about a fisting robot.

Not to be pedantic, but that’s not a hydraulic robot. That, I believe, is a FANUC servo motor driven robot with a spring counter balance. In the middle there, the circle of bolts around the 2nd/3rd axis motors is a huge planetary gear set. Take that apart, and shit will go everywhere. You do NOT want to have that final drive on fire!

(Yes, I know it’s an Onion article. The real fisting robots are much smaller.)

It's almost as heavy and needlessly complicated as a GS final drive, or so I hear.

Funny, we were at Hugos late one night having beers and chee-burgers, I guess we were a tad loud (that whole place is loud) and a parent leaned into our table and told us how offended he is at our talk. I mean come on, 10pm and your 18 year old son hasn't heard adults yapping? One of my buddies was like a light switch, instantly told the guy to f himself! :rofl

yeah Hugos is always REALLY loud.

and I can see that going both ways, the guy at Mojos was actually nice, the guy you're describing sounds like a dickface.
My response could have been either, depending on how they front ended that conversation.

saying " hey guys, im sorry but these young kids really arent enjoying that conversation " would go better than " I am offended at the way you talk!"

    haha

:y0!So, you are saying it all depends on HOW I present it on how and if I get a favorable response. :johntm So much to think about. :fpalm

I bet the kids actually were enjoying the conversation. It's the tight-ass parents who get upset. Have you ever seen a kid's face not light up when the talk turns to fisting robots?

I think when the wife started smiling, was when the guy finally put the brakes on.

    Will,

Can you make up a sign with a warning of potential conversations that may be taking place?

We can post in on the door to the establishment we are visiting.
If we go to the same establishment for more than 1 month we can see if it reduces or actually increases their customer #s on Wed nights. :-)
We may have a sales store to the management over our good tipping habits.

    Kris,
You're overthinking this. We're basically a bunch of loud assholes who drink. Fetvull doesn't have a shortage.
