It's my favorite dirt road in NJ, and I only had a couple of hours at lunchtime to go tagging. Sorry I didn't satisfy your standards for tagging. By the way, when was your last tag? About 6 months ago? The Big Bang Antennae?:rofl :rofl

You sure are a critical old fart, aren't you?:cry :cry

p.s., everyone knows that Walter and I are like Abbott and Costello, right?

I'm Abbott, by the way! :lol3

Regardless, it was pretty cheesy to get the tag-- this group has riders that would not have been put off by doing something two grandfathers did. Proably more an issue of time availability.

And Woodschurch Road is the best you could do?
    </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
Like Walter said it was a time issue. You know I would have rode to get it, but right now my Dads health matter does not allow me much free time to ride.

Also I say 1 for the easy way:lol3 :rofl

New tag looks like another easy one for the motard:evil :evil
    We'll see

Totally understand. There are a lot of things more important then our silly TOR games. I just went out today to keep the game moving, and get us back on page 1.

The Coons Path tag was actually pretty easy from either end. You would have been bored on any of your bikes. I was just making it sound hard to psych StBob and his new shiny bike out!

Hunting season has started today, and I saw tons of pick-ups parked near almost every dirt road I came to. I thought it was safer to put the tag on an easily accessible dirt road so that we wouldn't be getting shot.

Sorry if this looks too easy for most of you! :cry :cry

p.s., hope your Dad gets better quickly!

For your information, it was actually pretty nice from the George Washington side. And it was Walter Barlow's pick of location, so blame him if you think it was lame!

Sorry I've been teasing you about these tags. I will stop. You are the Zen master of tagging. I'm just a disciple. Please come back and play. I placed the Woodschurch Tag for you!

Doc, I got the barn from in the driveway:rofl

couldnt get shot from road cause it was too dark across the back yard:eek1

Was a fun ride but my GPS is garbage.

I poked around the tree grove for a little while in the dark, no flashlight :eyes

Soo.... I had to leave the ducks :cry

Would like to go back some time during a day ride,
Did you stop and check out that old graveyard on the bend?

Nice try, USP, but no cigar. Really, these dirt tags are best done in the daytime. Hard to find stuff in the woods in the dark. You need to get the mascot to get the tag!

You have to go up on the hill, and then find the dirt road. The tree is right in the line of sight from the bike to the barn:

If you look just to the right of the brush guard on the right handlegrip, you will notice the little tree with the hollowed out spot!

shame on you doc. the rules clearly state mascots are allowed. not mandatory. nowhere does it state that the mascot is the tag and has to be gotten to win the tag. :deal

Chris, with all due respect, since you are the Zen Master of Tag games, I didn't say he has to get the mascots. He has to reproduce the photo (angle, line of sight, etc.) and it has to satisfy the tag dropper.

    And most important:

The FOUNDER'S total and complete discretion.

The mascots show you got there first, so you don't have to rush to post. USP didn't get the shot from the dirt road up on the hill.

The tag is still up for grabs. I'd suggest a daytime assault. Easy in the daytime, difficult in the dark.

Exactly! I'm just trying to make it fun, but keep it moving. And I had to adjust the rules to eliminate the occasional tagger who just wanted to jerk people around.

So, we added the mascot. You get the mascot, then your photo doesn't have to be perfect. And you don't have to rush to post. You don't get the mascot? Then you better have a good photo of the proper place, and a good excuse for not finding the duck.

Don't like the rules the way they are? Play another game. Easy. But I'd rather you go back in the light of day and get the duckies, so you can place them in a cool location, and keep the game moving.

Warning. I may just go back and get the mascots tomorrow and retire the game for the winter, since everyone is so grumpy and crabby about the simple, fun rules.

Or, maybe I'll take it down to Great Adventure so the duck can play with some giraffes? :evil :evil

Not to belabor the point, but Adam took over a month to post a new tag. He gave GPS coordinates that I followed exactly. He didn't accept the photo, even though I was 50 yards from the bridge in question. I went back a second time, again following his directions, and got a decent photo of the exact bridge he was tagging. He didn't like that either.

It was my opinion that he was being unreasonable. That is why the rules had to be "adjusted", and the mascot put into play. The game has been running pretty smoothly ever since, even with the tags in pretty remote locations.

Next stop, if I get the tag again, will be South to the Pine Barrens, where it stays warmer during the winter months. Or maybe to Valley Stream State Park!:evil

..and is it just me or you became the "tagger who just wants to jerk people around" :lol3 :lol3 :lol3

in GStor we allow adjustments to get enough light on the tag for the picture. :evil who would have his bike 1/2 mile from the tag anyway. its not like it is a channel marker.:bow
or is the tree full of ducks the actuall tag? :turkish

    Now you're talking:rofl

But since you call a dedicated tagger and the one that got the first Hat-Trick Tag in the NortHeast an "occasional" one I'm not going to wait for it:lol3 And since the LI game is slow too it may stay here until spring...

Well, then you were definitely jerking people around with the wrong GPS coordinates. They shouldn't have been a 1/2 mile off. GPS units are accurate down to inches, for goodness sake!

I'm trying to keep a game going here, folks, and the mascot makes dirt more manageable. And many people think the geocaching aspects of the game are fun as well.

The game was supposed to highlight the fact that there ARE places you can go with your dual sport bike that are fun, and still relatively legal in the NY Metro area.

Stop whining and go and get the tag and the mascot. It's still up for grabs, and in a pretty easy location.

Adam, even you, as a casual tagger, could find this one, and if you get lost, just call me on my cell. You know how to do that!

Im not going back. Its not like its 5 miles from my house. Had i noticed the tag was half a dead tree and not a big red farmhouse,:doh
    I would've had it.

Doc, did you see the graveyard? I was wondering how old it was?
