Why does everyone put the damn duck in poison ivy?
Nice drop there gentlemen. Being that this is just down the road and this is actually a restated area It's such a nice ride up to that area I'll let someone else enjoy the ride to go get it.
Next time you folks are this close to the house you should stop in for a cool beverage if nothing else.
What's a "restated" area?
Good question. With fat fingers I have to wonder myself.
It should have been a "re tagged area". If I'm not mistaken Bill put the duck up on top of that same Mnt pass.
Since it sat all day I may have to go get it in the AM!
I know-- I took Bill there that day It's a few hundred feet away from it. There were people around the top when Bill and I went there, so we had to use the place we did.
I glanced over as we passed it and I think the water bottle marker we used is still there
It was a Pepsi can

Ok so I've thrown by back out and will be off the bike for what looks like a few days maybe a few weeks.
This is a nice ride to go up get this tag.. Lots of gravel roads in the area to explore! Enjoy!
I hear through the grapevine (duckvine?) someone is planning a Saturday get.
But now what will I do tomorrow when I get up at 5:30?
And all that headscratching over the Basecamp software
last night gone to waste.
A new tag today might rescue my one weekend riding day.
Tag will be up in a bit, need to get the pix sorted out.
OK New Tag, bit more dirt oriented than the last one. I went out for a little off road and singletrack riding to get ready for the Durty Dabbers Dual Sport. Theres about 30 miles of trails in this small area starting from where the tag shot is located.
Duck is in the milk crated holding this busted up quad.
The tag is not far from one of Walters favorite watering holes.
For those not in the know its in Deleware Water Gap.
Duck is located between the Water Gap and Stroudsburg.
From rt 611 find this.
Now a pix of my bike from that sign. Pointing out from the trail.
Follow this trail behind the first house. It runs along some power lines.
Heres a shot looking back from the Quad. Course gravel trail.
The quad shows up in Google Earth as its been there a few years. Maps may show a road leading up to the tag, but it lies. This is the best way in. No No trespassing signs.
Nice drop spot Gary. Found that by accident one day on the Strom. Wish I would have had the small bike after my third turn in.
Thanks for that. Perhaps it's not something for me on my own then, given my similarly-sized bike and inchoate skills. I had a nice route planned to the previous tag and places to go afterwards; it's too late for me to plan anything interesting for this one now anyway given Saturday is the only day I can go. Oh well.
The actual intent of these tag games in general is to get out and ride! You are correct the last tag does have a lot of really good roads to explore in that same area. Forget the tag... Just get out and ride!!!
Ride. Enjoy the day. Do a bruce run. This is one of those secret riding spots that I dont want to share with everyone, just a few of my friends.
As you say, out and riding is the thing to do, although it's colder and wetter than promised.
Don't fancy trying this on my own, I'd be picking myself and the lump up too many times, it was hard enough walking down and back up to check the duck was still there:
I put him back in the crate, so the tag is still live, wouldn't be right if I didn't go down on the bike. Great spot, though, except for the flies.
Did the bruce anyway:
...and explored a bit until the weather finally chased me home.
Thank you, Routemaster, the other roads you suggested were great too:
