Drove in, parked on 25th and walked The High Line right to the Javits, no ticket line, not much of a crowd inside, smaller show than last year, no regrets though.

was disappointed in this years show. drove my truck in this year because the last time i rode a bike in i found a parking garage that let me park but my helmet got stolen. i really liked the wr450. if i could put a bigger gastank on it id buy one and makr it street legal. ill probably buy one in a few years anyway. was hoping to see klim wolfman rukka amd giant loop. those and mosko moto who was the only one there were the only reasons i went this year. was hoping to get a better look at thier stuff. ill probably be buying the reckless 40l and thier 30l backpack in the spring

ran into 3 people i knew but i didnt run into marpoc who ive met twice and can say is a memorable character and a good guy

I lot of bikes rode in on Saturday, of course it was 67 degrees. Looked like there was a decent sized crowd this year.
Loved this bike, but it felt a little heavy. Need a test ride!

    This truck was HUGE.

Loved the paint by "Nubs" from OCC fame.

Liked this bike too, but I'm sure the price will be a little high.

I went Friday night. Ehh, wasn't impressed - But I did what I wanted to as the crowd was fine. Looked @ Connie 14, Multistrada, FZ-9. Next stop is a test ride. Best of all - Free parking - well on UWS. I met a buddy afterwards on UWS. I just used taxi's. Worked fine.

If one of you guys going could you by chance get a couple of close up pictures of the fairing pieces, particularly the bottom portion "skid plate" area on the 2017 HOnda CRF250L Rally assuming Honda has one on display? Maybe check to see how strong that bottom fairing skid plate area seems and what material it is made from?

Where about a did you park your bike last year? I saw a lot of bikes parked around the center and wasn't sure how NYC parking was for motorcycles.

We parked 3 or 4 blocks east of Javits along with a row of bikes. There was plenty of on street parking in the morning. Things changed during the evening though and got real busy with car parking and traffic with people coming in for the night life.

You shouldnt have a problem as there are plenty of places to tuck a bike if street parking is difficult to find.

Just an FYI, a lot has changed in the area since last year. For example, bike lanes have been created eliminating 1 car lane, new subway terminal, etc ... these changes will affect parking. Best bet is to check any NYC Parking Map App and figure out where you can legally park. Just a thought.

If this thread is any indication I think I can go to the show Saturday afternoon without any fear of crowds. Hardly any chatter about discount tickets or who's going. I guess everybody is still riding. I tend to go Friday night when it is quieter and you don't need to wait your turn to get a close look or sit on a bike for a few minutes.

Driving down on Sunday from the Saratoga Springs region with three other riders. For sure too cold in December for a three hour bike ride. Never had a problem with the show being too crowded. Hope to see the new Multistrada 950.

Was hoping to go & my son and his friend wanted to go but work comes 1st.

Wife wants a Goldwing for us to tour on, I'm not sure I want something that big, I'm leaning more towards a Connie.
But that purchase is still a year away unless someone donates some $ my way....
Enjoy the show - let us know how the crowds are

Well, first off- there wasn't a crowd; at least from 4-7.

The subtitle of of the event banner should read "The Incredibly Shrinking Show". Seemed like lots fewer smaller vendors. For the first time in memory I didn't see Backroads there. More disappointingly, I didn't see some people who I generally see only at this show. On the plus side, if it gets small enough, maybe the organizers will wake up and hold the event in NJ- saving everyone money and probably boosting attendance.

But overall an enjoyable time, with a number of things to do. Some new bikes of course- most pretty cool and/or interesting. And of course, the floor is littered with custom builds runing from the pretty nice/cool to the "wtf were they thinking?".

Couple of commented pics below, with a slideshow link at the end.

The new CBR is an absolute jewel.

The new CRF250 Rally headlight designer clearly took inspiration from old-timey gas masks. Either that, or used to work at BMW.

I thought this was a pretty cool build-- based on what looks like a Virago motor

I was there from 4-7 too. No Triumph, Beta or Husqvarna that I saw.
