I remember having to make sure I bought a ticket ahead of time because the ticket lines were so long at the show.
And the show was much bigger and always crowded.

I agree NYC is expensive and a PITA to get to and I only live about 20 miles away.

I wonder if they should skip NYC and have shows in Atlantic City and at Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun?

The only vendor I stopped at was a table that had a sign that said "German GLue"............and that shit was pretty impressive!:lol3

Driving down Saturday with the wife. Day trip down and back.

Stunt show should be pretty good. "Teach" McNeil is a great rider.

I'll be there on Saturday with 5 or 6 others. We drive from Cape May County, NJ to Weehawken and take the NY Waterway ferry over and walk from the ferry terminal(~2 city blocks or so). $18 round trip per person. I forget how much parking is, but it's not terrible. I think I look forward to getting late lunch in Manhattan more than the actual motorcycle show :lol3

You can go to the Toms River Park and Ride and catch the NJ Transit bus to Port Authority on 42 St. if you don't feel like driving that far. $2 to park, but round trip bus tickets are $42. I know there's a bus from Atlantic City to Toms River to Port Authority. It's worth it for me because I hate driving!

Went yesterday. The show looked a little bigger than last year, but yeah I didn't see Ducati. They always have the super hot models, bikes and girls.:lol3 They did have Aprillia and MV Agusta there, but I think that was a dealer's display. They Had some REALLY nice bikes I couldn't afford. 99% of the vendors I have no interest in other than Arai and Shoei. Was there at 3:00 and it was pretty crowded. Pain in the ass the bikes I wanted to sit on had the most people around them.:baldy

I thought the "incredibly shrinking show" was pretty good. Went on Friday between 4-7 and it was as uncrowded as I ever remember it at that time.

Saw some bikes that interest me and the "specials" seemed nicer this year: thankfully an almost complete absence of chopped up flat as a board-seated "cafe racers" :lol3. On the downside, their place seems to have been taken by bikes with velocipede-style front wheels- comicial of nothing else.

    But some pics

I'm surprised no one mentioned the SV650ish enduro/flat track bike about which Suzuki was taking "should we build it" feedback. Looks like it could be a hit

I love Rocket 3 roadracers from the 70's. BSA/Triumph 1971 team was Mike Hailwood, Dick Mann (Daytona 200 winner), Gary Nixon, Gene Romero, Paul Smart, Don Castro, Dave Aldana, and Don Emde. Think about that-- a factory team with 8 top shelf riders.

I have to admit, this is a very cool bike Kawasaki has introduced. And I wasn't much of an original Z1 fan. Based on overhearing conversations I think they'll sell a boatload or two.

It's a neat concept, but........will Abel go out of business the first time a heavy bike falls over and crushes a biker in his sleep.:muutt:pep

I think I prefer the simplicity of my design!:thumb
