Yes, it died on Friday. F'ing POS! Thanks for the offer, but I should be buying a new bike next week. Now I just need to get rid of the 400lb paperweight...

Actually, I take the subway because I spent 5 years driving in NYC to make a living. I've had enough of that. Now I ride at night and on the weekends mostly.

He's commuting from White Plains to the Bronx. You don't see many, if any, yellow cabs in the BX an parking is much mo' betta than Manhattan. Much much mo' betterer.

Not that caging it for a couple days isn't a bad idea but I'd only say a day or two should suffice.

John, thanks for taking care if him. He PMed me from the Tent Space list and I said I would try but from my house to Newark is a hike and then he would have been on his own to go to the city this morning. I offered but told him to put it out there and someone closer would help him out. I am not sure you are closer but you do go to the city everyday. Once again someone owes you a beer.:1drink

I kind of figured there would not be many options for scenic roads, but thanks for the suggestions.

I will be going to the hunts point area. Today they told me I will be working from noon to 8 PM, which means I might get lucky and find NO traffic, ehhh:lol3

I know they've cleaned the place up a bit, but if you have enough money, you should have no problem getting lucky in hunt's point. :D

Come to the ear, we're usually there late.

Does anyone know of a parking lot in mid-town Manhattan that's bike freindly? Also, I'd like to come to the Ear tonight. Anyone going. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm riding a yellow GS with a bio-hazard sticker on the right side bag.

    Welcome!

Dunno about moto parking in midtown but we usually have a pretty good showing at the Ear. Here's the thread

Just an FYI, I was at a parking garage on 77th St between 1st and 2nd and I beleive I heard the attendant say a space for a bike was $165 a month.... I might be wrong but that's what he said.

That's cheap considering they quoted me $115 for the one next to my apartment building in the Bronx. :dood

Thanks for the input. I am looking for something daily. I have a house upstate NY in Hillsdale and I leave straight from work on Friday. I used to park at a gararge on 52nd and 8th for 10 bucks. I was hoping for something like that around 37th and 7th. What time does The Ear start to get busy?

There's a garage on 33rd and 8th (north side on 33rd, west of 8th Ave) that accepts motos but they're pricey.

Most guys roll in around 7-8pm at the Ear.
