Shane,
We must have stopped at the same places for pictures as most of mine look just like yours. What a great place for motorcycling! In 2003 we did a Beach tour through Te Waipounamu, maybe you were there, and really enjoyed the country. Someday we would like to return for a longer stay. :clap
The only downer was the day after we left, one of our tour members was killed in a head on.

Some of my pictures are here;

The Te Waikoropupu Springs ('Pupu Springs') are located in Nelson, top of the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />South Island. The springs are known for the clarity of the water, and the volume of water discharged. The horizontal visibility of the water in the springs has been measured at an average of 63 metres, a world record for fresh water. This value, which was verified using specialist optical instruments, approaches the theoretical maximum for optically pure water.The springs are notable for the volume of water discharged from the eight main vents. It is estimated that 14,000 litres of water are produced per second. (Wiki)

Shaggie,

Damn you man! You've made me ache to be there all over again! :D

Next time Amy and I visit we'll have to devote a month just to the North and South Islands.

Thanks for the fix!

The ride on the Earnslaw, and the tour/lunch at Walter Peak is one of our favorite memories of NZ.

When we got home, I discovered that this little old Japanese woman had been photobombing me at Walter Peak. She was in a bunch of our pictures, peeking in and looking right at the lens. :D
