[IMG]. [IMG] Good day in ONF, first we soaked our boots in a few deep water holes, then ran some dusty power lines, twisty doubletrack, with some OHV trail mixed in.

A rare weekend off coming up, let us know if there's a contingent going out for a rip!
That's if the world does not come to an end from a hurricane or that little fat fellas H-bomb.

Hey - question - anyone ride mid to large adv bikes in ONF? I've tried to scour youtube videos or pics and even here. Probably a reason why I haven't been able to find any. But curious if there are milder trails and really just somewhere to get out of Orlando and hit some dirt.

    Thanks!

The main roads are hard packed, fire roads. They also have logging roads, some are packed down and others are fresh. But plenty of roads to try big bike things.

How big is your bike? Do you have a 21" front wheel? Its hard to avoid sand in ONF, I ride a KLR and it can get sketchy in the really deep stuff.

It's a kawasaki Versys 650. 17" front tire. I've played in some sand around the Clermont area on some orange grove roads.

It can be tough to muscle around but it's fun!

In my experience the smaller front wheels like to get crossed up in deep sand ruts and flip you over the handlebars.:lol3
But I can show you a loop/area with less sand that average on the west side of the forest, mostly double track.

I know some easy roads and a few hardpack trails in SE ONF. It depends on the weather though. Too much rain and things get sloppy, not enough and there are still sandy spots.

Anyone heading out Saturday? Haven't really got to ride much in the last few months, looking at ONF or croom and maybe hardrock?
I am thinking of pushing off work for next week to get a ride in.

Looking at croom heard they just cleared everything up or most of it. Might change it up in the morning for ONF instead but.
Also might be flying solo and if im out on ONF solo always feel sketchy.

I had someone tell me yesterday that ONF was sketchy by yourself. Hmmm.

    Anyone riding up there tomorrow?
