Get gas before you go to 7-11. Their are no stations close to 7-11!
see ya at 8:am
I should know in a few hours if I can make it. Once the last drivers come in I'll know how much work I have for tonight. Hoping for a light night.
Darn,,,, Here I am stuck in drizzly Seattle for another 4 days.
Really wish I could come.
we'll see how the moring goes.
Too much work. No way I'll finish up here to make it in time so I'm OUT.
If anybody's going to the big sale at Chapparal's today maybe I'll see you there.
woke up too late to make Bfast..... hope you guys had a blast
7 guys showed up and it was a beautiful day riding. Sunny, but cool air, and at times chilly.
The trail was awesome and the view was unbelievable, really a very clear day. I will never thought that it's in Los Angeles! Lots of canyon riding too, I logged on around 150 miles.
Thanks to Sito for getting Eduardo and I unstuck. His conscience would not allow him since he's responsible for leading us going down that hill with mighty soft dirt, another rain that could turn into mudslide.
Glad we did this one and thanks to Mark, John, Errin, Sito, Eduardo, and Chris. Zen Slug showed up too but just to say hi. Thanks for the map though.
Mark and Errin, good job assisting the fallen biker on the side of Angeles Forest HW. The forest rangers were pretty quick, just after a few minutes I reported the incident to them, they were on their way. Hope ther rest made it home safely.
Lunch at Newcombs was very good too.
Santa Clara Divide is so close and still not too many know about it, it's like a hidden gem.
Too bad a few guys were not able to make it, but we'll do it again before it gets too cold and wet.
Well I bought a new terror for the dirt tracks today, will have it down from Seattle in several weeks.....(It will have an Oregon plate on it).
Found a brand new 2007 Beta RR525 (This bike is like a KTM on steroids and at 255# half the weight of my Capo), so will be watching carefully for some new rides when you get them together.
glad you guys had fun!
btw, if you're thinking about av ktm in lancaster for service... skip it
Thanks to H8 Chains for putting this ride together. Here's the pics!
The 2 best looking bikes there.
The group, minus H8 Chains.
Artboy57, Sito and myself discussing the proper tire compound for the trail.
Sito and Oni tackling a soft and steep downhill.
Buenfeelings and H8 Chains ended up at the top of the same hill.
Better to check things out before attempting this one.
Best to turn around...and then drop!
Arboy57 and H8Chains across the ravine.
BuenFeelings on his sweet GS.
Oni haulin' on the BMW Thumper.
The 2 bad boys.
The group at the end of the trail.
And finally a bathroom in Pasadena. Check out all the air fresheners. Reminded me of "Repo Man".
Thanks for posting pics! Nice to meet ya'll. I popped up Indian Canyon on the way home, loose and powdery but fun. Great weather! See you guys soon.
Nice to meet Chris, Eduardo and John who I haven't met before. Thanks Joel for putting the ride together. It was a beautiful day!
ErrinV lives down the street from me...and this was the first time I have ridden with him. He was on his beautiful new 990A and getting used to the huge power those things have. Slithering out of corners with a spinning rear wheel was the order of the day.
Buenfeelings was riding his sweet new GSA. That thing looks like it would really eat up the miles! Sito must have really liked his new fork springs as he had a sprited pace all day. On the last part, he would start to get the bike upright after a corner and then hit the gas, spinning up the rear wheel and chucking rocks and gravel with the massive knobbie on the back. :eek1 I had to stay inside of him on corner exits or get machine gunned.
The "hill incident".
Skipping lunch, Errin and I headed down AFH at a fun pace and then saw a few cars off to the side and a bike on it's side. I momentarily panicked hoping it wasn't Sito who left a few minutes before us.
As we slowed and stopped I saw with relief that it wasn't an orange bike.
Luckily he only had minor injuries. Joel and Eduardo rode down to the Forestry station a few miles down the road and soon a whole bunch of trucks with lights and sirens were heading to the accident site.
The nice TL100 Suzuki the kid wadded up.
GLad you guys had fun! Bummed that I mised it.
Buen, WHEN did you get a 1200?!
Oni; did you ride past Dish on the way out? Im pretty sure Quyen and I saw you ride by as we had breakfast.....
Ill be with yall next time.
Yup that was me.
See you next time.

This good run deserves another, say in 3 weeks! Maybe all the way to Newcombs!
Errin, thanks for posting the pics. Your ex 640A performed flawlessly, too bad I ride it like it's never ridden before.....SLOW!:ddog
I can make that in 3 weeks. I am out of Seattle tomorrow.
That was a great time guys! Thanks for the ride.
A great weekend practice run and so close to home.
Thanks for the pics E!
Looking forward to the next one,
We all be waiting eagerly to see your new bike "Beta"!
