Max BMW is as good as any. Mother Germany sets the rate. Your local shop can compete with any...or not.

Max BMW in Troy. Ask for Gregg or Issac, they will hook you up.

Thanks, it's not like I'm trying to do an end run around the dealer but the nearest one to me is 75 miles away in Santa Fe so like most other motorcycle parts I buy I look for sources that will ship parts to me in the middle of nowhere. I know I could get parts slightly cheaper through Bike Bandit but haven't always had the best of luck with them. I'll give Max a call.

You need to borrow them? I only have 450mi on my '16 and won't need them for awhile. Going to have Max do the first service anyways. I have the TDC tool as well.

Why don't you come down for the tech day in April. I'll help you with your second service?

Would love to come down, but am currently planning a 3 week trip in June so I can't spare any extra vacation time right now. I have a cousin in Richmond I haven't seen in years and I would like to get down there for that as well.

I've had good luck with the BMW dealership in Chattanooga when I was living in the deep south. When in Utah, I ordered from Sierra BMW, among others. Now that I'm back in the mid-atlantic, I'll probably look for a source that's nearby.

Good luck with Max as well. As mentioned, any dealer can get parts but from past needs they seem to keep a larger inventory of smaller parts/screws that most dealers don't stock. Might also try BeemerBoneyard.

:confused I thought that was their thing? It's been a few months since I've ordered from Max, but they were still including them back then.

    Maybe they've stopped? :dirtdog

My order was $200+, must have to be over $300 to get M&M's.
