Looks to me like he was going too fast, but also he turned in VERY early to a decreasing radius turn. Then, panicked when he saw the car and went straight off the road.

I guess the rider took the lesser of 2 evils. Maybe he ought to slow down but to each thier own. Glad the people in the car didn't have to live with what the other result could have been.

He could have easily made it around that curve but the car spooked him and he fixated right off the road. I personally don't take such risks around blind curves but hope I would have had a better outcome.

Could've just not passed on a double solid. Or is the assumption to be made, that Health and Safety is only ever draconian?

Minor point: if you can walk back up it then it wasn't a cliff.

If you have to climb back up then it is a cliff. :evil

Dunno if I would be going that fast in an area that had "SLOW" painted every few hundred meters.

First of all, everyone involved is riding or driving on the wrong side of the road.:D Don't know if I could ever get used to that.

Off the cliff or into the grill? I'll take door number 3 for not letting myself get into a situation where I have to make that choice.
