Dammittt, John I sent you a PM on that other forum. I've been a barge bunny all day, filthy and stinky. Stayed home and now fondling a couple fine Italians in he shop. Hope it was amazing, if I had caught this earlier I could have brought a spare trailer wheel and tire and rescued a stranded member.

    Hey Gang.

Great to see you all again. Good to meet John and ... (Doh! forgot her name).

Also great to see Andrew again. Andrew I think we originally met at my first gathering at LaneSplitters in Berkeley, N years ago.

Oh and I kept waving at the passing BART trains just in case Matt was driving.

Hope to see an even bigger crowd next month. Maybe we can drag the Berkeley crew out to the hinterlands.

    Be safe

Oh shit sorry - bout that. I usually hit the air-horn going by. What I need to do is get a basket and a rope - you see where I'm going with this - hahaha. Tuesday seems like a month ago with so many other things going on.

Pick a Wednesday next time. We have a shy new member from the Martinez meet (with General Marty in command - and a good job pro tempore he did) who lives in Crockett. I forget what he rides - something not Italian...but that's OK, I suppose...

I went to Slow Hand BBQ a while back (across from the OLD Back 40 location) in Pleasant Hill - they have Pliny the Elder (and moar) on tap. Just sayin... and decent food [Groupon is your FRIEND - just sayin again..].

    Wednesdays....

    Hey all

I was in Reno, on my way back from Oregon. It turned out that some one in 1 million circlip failed on the wrist pin - ended up inside the cylinder, mashed into bits leaving a 1 inch wide groove about 2 mm deep. The mashed circlip came out on the magnetic oil drain plug.

Fortunately, the mechanic who helped me had a 570 mile DR 650 engine on hand! We put that in and I was able to make the trip. I now have a DR 650 engine for somebody's big bore project.

And for some motivation, remember, it's Oktoberfest time, so maybe we should be thinking Bockwurst und Oompah-pah:

No more sailing for me til January, and softball is over in 2 weeks, so I'm good to go no matter what day of the week it is.
I miss seeing everyone! Life's kinda been getting in the way of my social/moto fun so I'm really looking forward to the next meetup!

I thought about adventure boating before ADV biking -

90,000 Euros was a bit more than my 690 so, no go.

Drat. Missed another one. Anyone been to Brewsters beer garden in Petaluma? Is that too far to go on a week night? I hear the food is good.
