one of these days
O.K. looks like we are nearing the end of April and have no plans for May. In the spirit of changing up the days of the week and the destination I propose the following:
Wednesday, May 16, 6:30 p.m. at SPEISEKAMMER
2424 Lincoln Ave., Alameda, CA
Right off Park Street at Lincoln - Super close to I-880
What say ye?
Ich will ein Dunkles, bitte.
you're driving again
In!!! Great idea
Ahmm.... My people will call your people for details
I'm driving. If anyone wants to ride in from East County. Only room for
12 though, sorry.
I don't drink when riding, but in a 1 ton van.... people tend to get the hell outta the way.
Riding, unless it's really wet. Or a little wet. Or cloudy. Or windy.
Or too sunny.
I will try to ride.
Bummer, I really enjoyed having two whole beers instead of my usual one.(a month)
Hey, is someone making reservations? Do we need to? Post a head count maybe? I've begun my beer starvation diet so I can tank up for the event.
Count me in, I need to show off my dented rims.
I know some of the folks at Speisekammer and will call with a heads-up. Looking forward to seeing many folks on that little island off the coast of Oakland.
I will be riding the Versys, so don't laugh. No matter how silly I look on it.
Oh, and be warned. The speed limit in Alameda is 25 mph. And they mean it. I know we will only be about 100 yards into Alameda but....
You have been warned.
Awesome, Kevan. We will expect the VIP treatment. And don't worry
Did you talk to Sierra? She is the manager and is super cool..
On the way back from a great week in DV and Sedona....
See u all soon..as this is going to be super fun!
I just talked to whomever answered. Told them we would be there around 6:00, something like 10-15.
I know Sierra (though she probably doesn't remember me). She was tending bar back in the day. Their wait staff are nice. Hopefully Pam is still there.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
They have a TON of room, and wouldn't see any issues on a Wed. Hopefully the weather is good and we can all sit outside on their patio.
NOTE: they have a small parking lot aside the building. It's easy to get into, but VERY hard to back out of if you are driving a 4 wheeled vehicle. The liquid refreshments can multiply the difficulty of this maneuver X 10 and trust me, you don't want to become the toast of the entire patio cause you traded paint with their fence....
