Thank you, Thank you, I am putting in for vacation time now and when that is approved I will follow through with all the paperwork to make it happen :lol3 GOOD riding area and I am glad we will be headed that way again.

All paid up and a RV site at the KOA supposedly reserved.

Now which bike to bring ?? I would love to rip up 550 for a couple of days and also would love to do the Alpine loop again ??????

I'm in. Will pay as soon as the Paypal stuff gets figured out. Love the area, probably my favorite area in Colorado. I plan to get a site at Amphitheater campground once inside the 6 month reservation window.

In and looking forward to helping John organize and host the event. My first westfest was Ouray in '04. Time to give something back to the group!

    gbmaz,

First off...Get Down Here in Summer and Ride Bro!! IT's really the reason we all stay here year round and build the ice park! :jack

AS for Tenting at Large- or Mass Tent Cramming...That won't be available at the KOA. We'll have to adhere to their policies. There is the ThistleDown Camp Ground on CR361 (Camp Bird Rd) That could hold 20+ tents. But it is a NFS Camp Ground and is first come first served. So someone in the "group" will need to plan ahead.

The other option is to contact a local land owner and see what they are willing to do. If you want to champion this i can give you some names of local folks who might be amenable.

See you in Sept bro! If you come down sooner stop in at the Distillery and say hi!

Didn't get any info on the KTM rally. Was looking at the fact that Siapapu Bavarian Rally is the weekend prior in northern NM. and Labor Day weekend prior to that. So if there are any BMW folks they can make a double weekend out of it. If you are a working Joe you can Stay-Cation on Labor day and justify the trip two weeks later to wife and boss! Hahahah.

Besides, as I'm a KTM rider I figured I'really catch hell if I tried coordinating with their rally...

Damn you guys... just made my KOA reservations. I'll be showing up on the 14th but think I might ride UT for a couple days prior... :) Thanks again for you guys that are doing the organizing!

BTW, the '69 version of True Grit is on this morning. It isn't really helping dissuade me from attendance... :)

Umm - regarding paying cash later - if you sign up and agree to pay when you get there, you have to be sure you pay even if you don't make it to the event. Otherwise somebody else would have to eat the cost of your t-shirt, if nothing else.

I know none of us FFs would do such a thing - but also wouldn't want John to be stuck with the bill if something happened and you couldn't come ...

If someone stiffed the host for payment, I am sure they would be cursed by the flat tire gods, or worse!

So, I filled out the form, got an automatically generated email but no PP request. Did I hose something up? Not impatient just trying to help iron out the system. KOA site is already paid so I’ll be there regardless... :)

I'd bet that jwrover is swamped. I got my form in right away and don't have the PP request either. But he knows we're signed up and ready to pay.
