His new tires arrived, and the shop was cold:cry so he brought the bike into the mud room and was changing the tires when momma came home!:eek1
Had the front done and the rear off, told her he might as well finish cause he couldn't move the bike with out the rear wheel on, smart 16 year old!:evil
Now I am in trouble for being a BAD influence. Just because I bring in JUST the wheel and not the whole dang bike! But my excuse is I need to warm them up in front of the stove so it goes faster if it is warm, and now that I am in it will only take a few minutes to do the rest. Heck it is the MUD room!:lol3

I need more examples, so I can show her it is OK. The mud room is a bunch warmer than the shop ever is! I need to adjust the valves this weekend on the DR and some dewinterizing:clap on the WR!

I had no garage. I am not about to work on my bike in cold, damp, freezing temperatures. So I rode it into the kitchen. Worked on it in comfort, with an adult beverage, nice music, a few snacks. Much better.

I stored my 92 cbr 600f2 in my 3rd floor apartment every winter in Canada when in school as a kid.

wrestling it into the elevator (it was too big so we had to stand it on its back wheel) was always an adventure :D

the only real problem was the "mid winter fire sprinkler inspection" - you'd be amazed how with some creativity, cardboard, duct tape, and lots of blankets how you can get a motorcycle to look like a book shelf.

Hey! The Boy Gets It! So whats the problem? You should be proud! Mom will calm down. Thinking on his own, making the most with what you have, getting the job done, cleaning up the mess, ALL Good! I'm might also add he wasn't playing Xbox! You should remind her of what a fine young man she's has raised!

I feel his pain, I've learned its best not to wash the no-toil out of my air filter in the kitchen sink if there's a chance of the wife coming home mid-process :D

    Of course not.

That's what that nice high efficiency front-load washing machine is for.
