And to think this time last week I was enjoying the rough, sand covered roads in Western New Brunswick...

By the way, this was the "shallow" area. Was crotch deep in the rest of the driveway.

This summer was a short one. Three days riding and back to snow plowing. I have figured out a get rich quick scheme. I'm going into making long johns. Were good for 10 months a year in long underwear here in Canakastan! I have a 4 foot drift in the yard right now.

We have 20 cm of snow forecast for the next 2 days with winds to 80 kph.
Maybe it'll blow itself out and spring will right behind it??

    I doubt that though.

Each year everyone else gets out on their bikes early while I, the procrastinator, spend the spring working on my bike. So.....I am kinda grateful for all the snow. I even started getting my bike ready since the daytime temps are reasonable in the garage. This may be the year I get to enjoy riding with everyone else in the spring :clap

PS.....mother nature I need two more weeks so keep it coming :thumb

We're going to hit -19 tonight with more snow in the forecast. No riding for me any time soon :(

Currently -5F in Fargo...First day of spring, yay!! But at least no snow in the forecast.

The frustrating part is that at this exact time last year the snow was long gone and we were in the 70's already...and riding!

All I ask is for some consistency.

Crappy dude,,,,,,I was out on my Laverda for 3 hours today, sunny and cool [8c] but the bike simply loved the spring air, perfectly acceptable. Didn't even bother plugging my vest. BTW,,,,my daffodills are in bloom last weekend. :1drink

    This sucks.

I thought we were done with this!!

I drive a DOT snowplow on the highways, so a good dump of snow means I work 14 hour days / nights.

    this sucks.

the dirt side roads are so soft, that the plow digs like a bulldozer that is slot dozing.

3 more days of snow in the forecast.

    this sucks.

So, sunny this morning, driveway was blown out yesterday. Had a fair bit of wind overnight. It's drifted all in again. :yikes Today is the day I get the car stuck in the driveway! As for the bike shed, it's drifted up there about four feet deep. Calling for warm temperatures next week. Might get out again then.

Was looking at a job posting in Nassau. And my girlfriend gave me permission to move us and the kids anywhere that there is no snow! :lol3 Only a couple problems, how many times can you ride around an island, and there aren't any canoe rivers to speak of! Humm, trade canoe for sailboat perhaps? Still doesn't help with the riding....

On average, we get 30% of our annual snow after the start of Spring. But this has its upside; here's Sunshine last May, with daughter Bri:

When the weather gets warm, the wimps get skiing. :D But the boarders are made of tougher stuff. :norton

5C and sunny for the past two days but tomorrow it is gonna go to shite for a week. No snow left except for some rotting stuff the plows left piled up. Still salting the roads almost everyday though.

That's the bitch of living in Southern Ontario. In 11 years I have seen 2 sleds out here in the country beside the so-called OFSC trails. And the one ran over the Bell box disconnecting the phone lines!
Not enough snow for a sled, too cold and icy to ride. No hills to ski. Another dumping in progress.

I know :cry. Woe is me.

    At least there's beer. :freaky
