where can i get one????
or maybe just a dry hump.
That's nice is it a production model or a one off? The wright brothers would have smiled if they had seen this Bicycle.
Very cool. I bet those drop bars get you an extra 2 maybe 3 mph.
These seem pretty cool too
I'm in love.
whizzer meets board track racer
DAMN! Who do I write the check out to?
It's called a Derringer. (I love the name).
50cc Honda powered, centrifugal clutch.
There's a red one with luggage that makes my heart go flippity-flop.
There don't seem to be any reviews from people who have ridden or bought one. The bikes will make cheap living room art when the company goes out of business.
These are just Chinese motorized bicycle engines of the sort you can find on eBay. $150 shipped, provide your own bicycle.
and Faulkner is just a bunch of English words typed on a page. Hell I can buy Paper at staples and a cheap word processor...
No CVT, no gears, no lights, and white tires. They look good, and everyone oohs and aahs on the web, but it doesn't appear that they've made any sales.
My ex from 2006, with russian engine.
Sure, but my point is that this isn't a Whizzer and there is nothing about it that justifies the high price.
(This is a Whizzer)
Anyhow, if you're the creative sort the Chinese engines let you come up with something that has the appeal and looks of an early motorcycle. They're an absolute hoot to ride around on.
Heck, some folks are even selling a jackshaft kit and a chain-ring freewheel that allows the engine to drive the bike via the regular chain with whatever gear shift mechanism you might have (gears, 3 speed hub, Nuvinci CVT etc.)
You like Whizzers, start your own thread.
This here thread's about Derringers.
I love this thing.
wow both the der. and the ridleys look fantastic
I hope they get a lot cheaper or I get a lot more rich!
This baby is COOOOOOL!
*Who cares what a Whizzer is worth, this is different!
*Look at the reliability with a Honda motor and parts availibility.
*Uniqueness = status = snob appeal, to some people
*Mountain bike frames can cost more.
*If the company folds, you have an instant collectable.
*How much is your average Vespa?
*No license requirement.
*Imagine cruising South Beach, or Venice, or Santa Cruz, or the Hampton's on that, ya think the chicks might notice?
*I vote "YES"
I have been looking closely for brake suitable to stop 50cc and me. How do the brakes function? are they internal drum?
I believe mnd's point is that that is not a Honda motor in that picture. If you look through their gallery you will notice 3 or 4 different motors being used. The picture of the bike at the beginning of this thread has the $150 ebay motor.
