    Howdy gang,
I'm shipping my bike to Miami from Bogota, Colombia this Friday. Then I'm riding it home to California whenever I clear customs. My bike is a KTM950SE and it's overdue for an oil change. Ideally, I'd like to buy 4 quarts of fully synthetic oil somewhere, and have the shop that sold me the oil let me borrow a drain pan and change the oil myself. The timing would probably be sometime Saturday morning in northern Florida.

    Anyone have a shop suggestion?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Beach Blvd Motorsports is the local KTM dealer and they might be receptive to it. You can always pick up the oil and change it at my house if you like.

You're welcome to use the carport at Castle Cole to do your oil if needed.
Nothin fancy (other than the lights :evil) but will fit your budget. ALso - Greal local shop down the road (Daytona) - Cycle Goodies - nice old local racer. 386-258-5691 tell him "Coach" sent ya. He may have a pan and you can do it behind his shop. Hope this helps some and have a safe trip.

I had good luck using autozone on the road. $2 drain pan got it done. I asked first, and they suggested I check the dumpster for a container. And you can buy your oil there, if you can use automotive stuff.

Thanks for all the suggestions. My bike made it to Miami today. I fly in tomorrow. I'm not sure exactly when I'll change to oil. Kind of depends on the timing getting the bike released from customs. Thanks again

Buy your oil and filter. Buy a pan at parts store. Do oil change in parking lot. Take oil inside parts store for recycling. Leave pan for someone else.

I have done this cross country every Summer and never had a problem.

Don't make a mess and you're good to go.
