Hi all. Just did my first oil change on a new to me 2008 990adv. Everything went well but I've over filled it by about 200ml. I'm thinking that it will be ok to leave it as is but would appreciate some advice from you guys with a bit more experience. Thanks

Check it again tomorrow, it will be 200cc low.

Running it overfull might blow out the counter shaft seal. It may pump more oil out of the vent into the intakes.

are you checking the oil level when the bike is hot or cold?

for 950/990 adv's, you need to check oil level when the bike is HOT.

Yep checked it whilst hot. Ive since been out to the shed and checked it again after heating the bike up. It was still a little high. I used a syringe and sucked just on 200 ml out, ran the bike for a bit then checked again and it was perfect. Thanks for your help guys
