Oil tank pressure ?

    When I remove the dipstick when the engine is warmed up there is a hissing sound of air escaping...2007 Adventure...450 miles....Is this normal...

    You're not the only one who has experienced that. I wouldn't be too concerned. Probably a result of thermal expansion and the nature of the dry sump system. It shouldn't be excessive, though. As in, there shouldn't be so much pressure that it makes the dipstick harder to remove.

    Look closer, it is a vacuum. The engine runs a vacuum by design.

    It runs under pressure somewhere around 4 psi

    Pressure is pushing air out not a vacuum ...I know this because if the dip stick is not as tight as you can get it with out breaking it it will have oil running down the side of the tank...going to check the air box line today to see if there is any air movement..
