Check in if you are in the Okanagan and enjoy dual-sport rides. I realize that the Canadian section of ADV is somewhat lame in comparison to the main site but who knows who could be lurking out there. Are there any groups that get together for the occasional ride? I ride a 1200 GSA. Nothing overly serious but enjoy road trips and FSR. Maybe a few folks want to get together for group rides? I'm in the Vernon area.:ear

Sounds like a plan Motardca. I know the Geezer. What do you mean "were you the reason for his mishap?"

I am just in the process of leaving the flatlands behind and moving to the valley permanently in mid-June. Once I get organized, I'm up for some rides.

I have done a bit of riding in the area, but am always on the lookout for some more good rides.

Let me know what your up to.

You guys are lucky. Buddy of mine a while back took me riding east of Vernon on a bunch of nice country backroads dirt and paved. Seemed to go on forever. Plenty of good stuff there.

Any time Jick, I try for 100k a day, dirt, pavement whatever leads to a good cup of coffee.

I am in Salmon Arm and as soon as I get this CDI issue worked out I am in for some FSR riding.

    Mara lookout/Hunters range anyone?

Looks like we could have the makings of a gang right here:rofl
When this weather gets more stable we should set up a ride. Anybody got any favourites? Throw them out here..

Shuswap Biker - is that you Brian?

I'd be up for a rip up to Hunter's Range. I'm getting a little weary of the A-loop "dual sport" rides the regular suspects like to go out on, beats up the equipment, and the ribs!

I have made it to the valley & have some time before I take possession of a house - so I will be doing some exploring.

Here is a route I want to try this week some time.

If anyone has some time and is interesting in joining me let me know.

For another ride I am also interested in heading west to Douglas Lake & Merritt via the Bear Lake Main sometime with a civilized lunch at Brambles in Merritt.

Give me a shout if your interested and have time.

    ^^^^^

When your going through Douglas lake ranch watch out for cattle and logging trucks especially when you get past Salmon lake resort and drop into the valley.
It is a very narrow valley, grave rd and lots of twistys, be sure to look up once in a while and see the volcanic hoodoos.
Falkland has a great pub/restaurant for lunch
