Yeah, I was going to mention Gillard FS(start of ride #1) and Bear Main (start of ride#2) are active logging roads, along with Chute Lake Road between the resort and the pavement between indian Rocks and Naramata. Be careful, the trucks appear quickly and for some reason always in spots where there aren't a lot of options - and they are paid by the load. :eek1

The OK falls FSR also known as the #201 haul RD is scary if your not watching out, I have even seen over sized trucks up there (Big Pacificos, 10 foot or more wide)

Not me, been too busy to put the GS on the road. Been playing with race cars and the ST, and now the side-car experiment:eek1. Maybe by fall I'll have time for some dirt

I just wanted to subscribe to this thread, although I'm usually down for some more aggressive dual sport rides!

I ride a 2014 KTM 690 Enduro, so give me a wave if you see me around!

Active hauling can be 7 days a week in some areas, but for the most part Monday-Friday.
This time of year you have the crazies out there on there on bikes and quads trying to go as fast as possible, and you have the campers/fisherman that like to drive down the center of the logging roads, so if your going out, watch your speed the blind corners and get prepared to ditch the bike in a moments notice.

Hello Okanagan KTM 990 Adv riders.

I have a pair of Leo Vince slip-ons and mid pipe I don't need anymore.

They are 07-08 era. I think they will fit all 990's. Look to be aluminum with titanium end caps.

$250. Come and pick them up!

Me (and wife) moving to Penticton in Sept.
Looking forward to riding this area more often.... every day, if possible....
Hope to meet up with some big bike adventure-type riders.
Perhaps i will require a 250(Yamaha, of course...) of sorts, as well?

Hi guys, Im trucking the dirtbike to Kamloops for the long weekend and looking for maps or trailheads and people to ride with. I've heard duffy lake is a good site but I'm having trouble locating it. I'm on a non street legal ktm and have 2 full days to fart around and explore. I do have liability insurance but no lights so I'm not sure if I'm permitted on FSRs?

Iam not seeing too much action here!
Next week, w/c 8/9 we propose a 4/5 day ride. Route would be Lillooet, Big Bar ferry, Gang Ranch, Alexis Ck, Chilko Lk circuit, Williams Lk, Canim Lk/Mahood Falls, Clearwater, Adams Lk, Vernon. Exact route @ date open to negotiation. Possibility of more challenging sections if desired.
Iam in Lake Country, ride a 2011 Tiger 800xc @ am familiar with most of the route. My companion has a 650 BMW.
Prefer we meet for coffee first. How about some evening? Suggestions please.

Anyone up for a back roads ride around the Okanagan area?
    Weekdays are fine.

Wanna meet for a coffee first? No problem.

    Welcome!

I am going to check out the road from Peachland to Douglas Lake sometime this fall, but I have committed to a longer trip next week.

If your interested we could meet for coffee at Bliss Bakery on the lake in Peachland sometime and head to Douglas Lake and back.
