I never had any problems keeping up with the 1000. Well except accelerating from 80 mph. I loved my Wee. Under 65 I got 45 MPG but only 35 at 65 and above. (If you were wondering)

Well, it was a success. We packed the bleachers, made funny signs, and taught some young, impressionables how to razz the refs.

Some of the non-birthday signs included:
"Beat the PUCK out of them!"
    "Where's the Canadian?"
    and my personal favorite...
"We haven't seen so much puck action since Real World Season 1."

It was a high-scoring game, but a loss at 7-6.
Rumor had it, that our team had been hitting the whiskey before the game and the goalie's coordination was clearly suffering.

    Fun time.

That's not very good! I always heard 55-60mpg! Most of my riding is at 80-90mph down the interstate to work so that wouldn't help me any if that's what they're getting, I can get 35mpg on my 1000 at that speed.

The only bike I've ridden that didn't start really sucking gas at those speeds is the Goldwing, it will match or beat my smaller bikes mileage at speeds over 80 (GPS) every time, that includes what I got on my 650 strom.

But the wing won't make it over Hancock pass :eek1 At least not with me on it. :rofl

Looks like the ride at Byrds is in Sept. Im in!!!
I just got home last night from riding out there.
I rode with Amanda on Sat but took off in the woods on Sunday by myself. I needed to wear myself out a bit.
I rode last years scramble track. So much fun!

This is on some of the single track from last years hare scramble. The pause to take a pic was provided by that missing bark on the tree and my right handguard.

I think a trip to Lake Tahoe is in my future. I went skiing over there a few winters ago. It looks like Summer has a lot to offer over there, too :D

Dirty Dog -- Sorry I didn't recognize you after the race and wasnt very talkative. I was flat beat and still seeing stars from a 3rd gear face plant into a tree at the end of the short course. only lost 20 seconds and finished the long course. I think I was 5th AA and 13th overall. Lovin it at the bottom of the barrel!

Snoid -- I didn't know anyone else in Oklahoma listened to ColourMusic... I run into a couple of the band members from time to time at the coffee shop here in Stilly.

I'm glad someone posted pictures of that night time trials event on the 12th... I really wanted to go to a family reunion but you have twisted my arm.

BTW, I didn't recognize any of the riders but I believe I know some riders with the same riding style.

If I'd had my Contour on, I could have added my dumb ass wreck in Arkansas (Big Loop Ride over Easter) to this compilation.

Krabill -- I can't find any contact info on the NEOTT site... A few buddies and I are interested in attending the trials event this weekend. Is there a dirtbikes only class?

The NEOTT facebook page would be the best place to get a hold of somebody.

I doubt they have a dirtbike class planned, but we could always make one up quick. We've started going to a "just in time" trials format where we make sections on the fly right before the event, so putting something together quickly wouldn't be a problem if enough dirt bikes show up to warrant it.
