Hey GMSNOWBALL,Me and a friend are heading down to Terlinqua on Wednesday. We are taking my toyhauler and a couple of GS's. Hope to see you there.
I have one, but have unfortunately loaned mine to my F-I-L in Stw. They are pretty cheap at Harbor Freight and you might check your local auto parts store for loaners.
Myself and a friend will be there! Heading down wed eve. Haven't been able to find out much about this deal. Is there even a thread about it. Just hope Eureka Springs has plenty of beer!
Thread on Two Wheel Texans:
Looks like there will be several Okies there.
There is plenty of beer at Eureka, just ask Phillipe Nob Your Dob or Fast Eddie, they can put away almost more beer than the brewery can make...:lol
Lots of food, beer, good company and great riding. Where are you in Choctaw? I moved there from Edmond last year.
Have fun in Big Bend, try the River Road from Terlingua to Rio Grande Village. Then up Old Ore Road north to the ranch and back to Terlingua. It's a good day ride.
If the Chili Pepper Cafe is still open you need to give it a try. Really good food, service and inexpensive. The Que so and Salsa is really good.
A ride report of one of our trips to the Bend http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=437747
Link to the Hillbilly Dual Sport ride in Eureka. Any Tulsa folks going..:huh
No doubt the Lottery Commission is responsible for absence in these events.
Okies- If anyone is looking for something to do for St. Patty's day...
My company is hosting our 5th annual St. Patty's Day party. All are invited to attend.
Im in Jason!! As long as there is room for me AND my leg. I will need about 4 feet to my left reserved.
Bump. St. Patty's Day is this Sunday.
My set of Conti Tkc80's just got here. Wow, the 180 rear looks even bigger know with knobs. Just need to mount them up.
Sitting here in Tulsa watching some good basketball on the tube but still wishing it wasnt 40 degrees outside cause its the time of year that I should be out on the bike going somewhere! I'll be semi-retired soon and racking up some miles this year going nowhere in particular !!
Welcome to ADVRider and the OK BS thread. Retirement is a good thing. It took me about 30 minutes to get used to it.
....., Tulstrom if your bored, check out the Hillbilly Dual Sport
in Eureka Springs 4-7 April. There are several other rides.
coming up soon.
Took me a little longer, I quit work on Friday, Monday I was back in the office. :eek1
I missed some personal stuff I really wanted when I cleaned out so got up Monday and went to get it. And laugh at those poor guys still there
There is plenty of riding to do out of Oklahoma, east to Arkansas, west to the mountains, south to Texas, great riding in all those places and really not far from home. Even north is good sometimes.
Thanks for the heads-up. I plan on doing some rides. Especially in Arkansas. I have a cabin on Beaver Lake so a good home base for some great roads and scenery! Hope to see some of guys over there !
Well, I work through Saturday and then I'm on my own. l offered to go in to work a couple of hours a day, a few days a week during the busy season (summer) but hope they don't take me up on it. I'm ready for retirement!
Put SLAP on your calendar. See the ADV Annual Rallies subforum for details.
Join us on a Tuesday night for TTPC. We'll decide if you're tough enough to be initiated into the Short-Range Riders Club of Northeast Oklahoma.
Also, with weekdays off, you'll probably want to move the OK Tag around quite a but.
