If you are who I think you are, I know you. Only one guy in Ada that I know of who has a Tenere.

I saw that. I should have been more clear, looking for a woods/trails bike that I can tag for connecting roads. There's a lot of CRRs and YZs for sale, but according to the Internet they don't make great slow woods bikes due to heat issues.

Can anyone in the area (or riding through the area) do some recon for me?
I'm curious if this dead-end road near Pigeon Creek in the Ouachita NF (OK) is accessible by 4wd vehicle (i.e. not gated)?
    Coordinates are 34.630350, -94.518130
    Google MAP
Access road comes in from the N via NF7322

Edit- I've tried to reach the forest ranger office with no luck.

    It is gated. :deal

I hiked it past the gate and nearly to the creek. Not worthwhile. Overgrown and I was covered in ticks.

Does this belong to any of you?

It was parked on the side of Scenic 412 today about 7:00 p.m. between Chouteau and Locust. I thought maybe someone broke down but didn't see anyone around.

I'll be doing a 100 mile dirt loop out of Jay to MO then back down through AR. Burger and beer for lunch and catfish for dinner. Probably on Tues. You are more than welcome to come along.

What kind of pace is this ride? My wife and I would consider going since we have Tuesday off. She rides a CRF230L, I ride a DR650. Also, she's not interested in rocky trails or anything like that, just gravel road/country road type riding. Just wondering if it would be suitable for her, don't want to be a drag on the group.

Pace is slow and easy. Almost all gravel with an easy cut through Spavanaw WMA a little bit of ozark twisty secondary paved road coming out of Noel going south. No hairy water crossings either. Should be an awesome ride for your wife.
